Ive heard good things about garberville and arcata, but im curious about mainne, vt, and alaska espically, i visited once and loved the wilderness, but i dont now about hippies and stoners there.colorado too, i use to ski up there. Just curious because i may be moving out of so cal, nothins official
The whole west coast doesn't seem to care about marijuana. All Cops and laws might say otherwise, but the people who have the strongest voice don't seem to care who smokes.
I live in Philly. Pot's more expensive here that the west coast-and we don't have the great variety-but I walk around smoking at night on a regular basis. I'm usually careful about it-but sometimes.. Last night was a beautiful night-a friend and I went bike riding-stopping along the way to smoke up. I love cities at night-we just biked around stopping by a few parks and smoking up. We were pretty high and just stopped on a corner to take a hit. We were pretty high-I looked around for people and cars-but didn't really notice the cop car parked RIGHT NEXT to us (8 feet away). We lit up. His lights went on. The window rolled down. I looked at my friend with a smile "GREAAT" I talked first (I like to do that with cops) "Good evening officer-how are you doing tonight" "I'm doing fine sir-but maybe not as well as the both of you. Do you have ID's" The both got out of the car-I wasn't worried-only had the pipe and a bowl or 2 on me-figured we were going to get a fine . He checked our ID's and asked "so if I search you am I going to find anything" I showed him the rest of my pot. He laughed and told us to be careful about where we stop. Philly can have some real asshole cops-but in general just as long as you're not causing a problem (where someone is going to complain) they don't care what you're up to. We had a good night.
^ a lot of big cities are like that. Had a similar run in with cops in Lincoln Park last summer. It was all chill but could've been bad for me. Cops who've been around a minute realize somebody smoking a little weed ain't harming nobody.
Most of the cops ive met in philly are pretty decent,but i think that i just get lucky because of my excellent table manners.
