A bunch of us had a big bbq last night down the woods, it poured down and just made the mud down there even muddier. I walked home at dawn through all the squidgy mud - well nice!
Was actually walking in the rain the other day. Had to go to the store, and my wife had taken the van to work, great excuse to walk barefoot in the rain (it was just misting though). Unfortunately I had to carry my sandals with me, as I'm not at the stage where I'm comfortable going barefoot into stores, and I don't know if I ever will be. I don't have a problem with it (I do it at my wife's workplace all the time, they know me and don't have a problem), but so many people do, and I hate hostility and confrontation. Oh well, it was still a great walk, lots of squishy mud and puddles!
It rained here and I went out and ran through the puddles. I can only imagine what my neighbors must have thought about seeing a 20 year old man playing in the rain. Oh well, not my problem.
We in our monsoon season here in southern Arizona, my favorite time of the summer season. Walking through puddles and wet warm sidewalks feels heavenly in bare feet.
summer rain, here in south Texas that is a contridiction in terms expecially this year as we are 20 inches below normal and nearly 30 inches since last October. throw in 100+ temps and it is bad or course when I hear essenceofweeze talk about -40F temps in the winter, I will put up with hot temps in the summer and complain about the +40F cold temps lol
Lol, this thread makes me smile I love walking in the rain barefoot. And Cell, you aren't the only adult that loves to play in the rain! It just reminds me of being a kid and being carefree and barefoot all summer runnin' through the woods and yards...ahhhhhhh
Lol, are you my doppelganger or what? Also a Starbucks fanatic, although that is more unusual up here than it is in the States, with most going to Tim Hortons for their java addiction.
Well I worked there years ago, but I rarely go there just because I usually can't justify the cost. I just went to get us a treat last night.
absolutely. Love hot weather but not when it gets close and muggy and there's nothing more stimulating than a nice downpour to clear the air and soaking those tootsies in the puddles [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU1eG8GW3XU
Raining today, pretty steady downpour too. Took the boy outside, he was so cute in his rain coat and pants (no shoes of course!), but he didn't seem to want to do anything. He usually loves splashing in the puddles, especially the muddy ones, but today he was just standing in one spot. Oh well, no puddle-splashing for me today!
heard you guys got poured on good...heard the Red Hill Creek Xpress was shut down for flooding...again
