i've stopped following all this stuff indepth for about a year now. arent we supposed to be in police state right now ?
1) We are in a police state but you need to stop using the Hollywood definition of Police State 2) The latest conspiracy is that all conspiracies are being denounced by rich and powerful people. Their efforts are to assure that if anyone actually did stumble upon something, the mass idiots of our nation will be too busy making jokes about them to listen.
This is the latest news I've gotten from the underground community; KFC has been using genetically engineered organisms, that only resemble chickens. The organisms have no feathers, feet, or eyes, and are believed to be of extraterrestrial origin. They are fed a slurry of nutrients through tubes, that contains a specially mutated hormone that is supposed to make Americans into a race of super human beings. This hormone was developed by Col.Sanders(who was really a shape-shifting alien) himself in conjunction with the guys from Area-51 back in the 60's. The full details of this are soon to be released to the public, by an unnamed source.
Regardless if by express devise or simple circumstance. Hollywood tends to formulate the popular constructs. In the example of the "police state," the image held by the general public is some sort of black uniformed heavily armed men on each street corner. An environment where children are indoctrinated into a common "policy" of paradigm shaping. Sadly in this nation anything other than that vision and the police state doesn't exist. But the fact is the United States is a police state. We have the world's largest prison population and just that sector alone of the legal system is our 5th largest industry. If you include the police and the judicial system, then it becomes the 4th largest. Simple economics are the reasons we're seeing problems such as the patriot act, lack of a coherent law covering the privacy cell phones and email, a return to McCarthyism and its hyper-patriotism, racism, etc The simple fact is that this nation makes money from dysfunctionalism and is both opportunistic and manipulative in that endeavor. Therefore the ever broadening of police authority and powers; Coupled with expanding legal indemnification towards law enforcement is something everyone should be concerned about. Our current "police state" environment is one of predator and prey. "Law enforcement" of laws created by the political assemblies as opposed to problem solving and maintaining the peace within our communities. Face it, finding a reason to make even the most functional members of our society criminals is good for the economy. And that's a fact, not a theory of any sort.
isnt the prison system one of the biggest strains on the economy ? and isnt dysfunctionalism what's wrong with this country? i dont see how making criminals out of random citizens is benificial to anybody. you maybe forgeting the law enforcement angecies and law making process is just as [if not more] dysfunctional as the citizens they govern.
Nothing much except more prisons, with more prisoners. Did you not read the post above about our FOR PROFIT prison system? It's one of the few domestic industries in America thriving on the misery and misfortunes of others during this Greatest Depression. We incarcerate more people than any other country, including communist countries. But what's worse is the PRISON of the MIND that has people believing whatever they're told by "authority", whether it be a media, political, religious or social leader. The media has mass brainwashing down to a science now. And Murdock, who was just in the dock, is guilty of imprisoning peoples minds with incessant lies and hate filled shows like O'Reilly and Beck, aside from the manipulation of the police and government leaders. It's exactly ignorance and apathy (like yours) that keeps the Police State growing more powerful everyday. Nothing has changed? Look at all the new laws being passed now that criminalize even more behaviors that were legal before. Gotta protect corporations and marginalize and imprison any young people who think differently from the corporate mindset. Free your mind.
i believe its time to stop pointing fingers, and time to start developing alternative ideas. you can blame my ignorance, murdocks methods of business, the mysterious elite, etc but pointing fingers isn't going to do anything. we have to concentrate our thoughts on building a new future. i think we should start with finding new methods of running society on a MASS scale.
