"Clean" program

    Hello,

    I recently read "Clean" by Alejandro Junger. I am normally a skeptic of cleanses and diets, but I was very intrigued by Junger's idea that our bodies spend much of their energy on processing foods that are in some sense "toxic," (such as gluten, dairy, alcohol...) I like that the cleanse can be done once a year, and seems to still fulfill nutritional needs and the need for some variety.

    I recently bought a juicer that I plan to use during the program. I am a vegetarian so I am a bit worried about protein, as soy, dairy, eggs and some nuts are prohibited. I am also nervous about withdrawal from caffeine and hunger, but am otherwise excited to try this out. I am aiming for 2 weeks but would love if I could complete all 3.

    Has anyone tried this or a similar program?
