I'm a student in college right now, and I feel strongly that an anti-war protest is needed. How do I go about doing this? What should I educate myself about? The rights here are blurred, and it's confusing to me what we can/can't do. If anyone wants to help/participate, that would be groovy.
I can help. I've been against the middle east wars since they started with Bush Sr. attacking Iraq. I protested then at university and was always shouted down by FBI's posing as students. The apathy of teh other students baffled me. No one cared except a few dozen of us in the Student Democracy society. The US war machine is being used to control oil and has nothing to do with defending freedom or democracy or helping other people except oil company executives and their shareholders.

@indydude, Heck yes! Message me and we can flatten out details. @Patriot4Revolt, that is a very, very good point! Thank you.
It's shocking that our lawmakers in Washington just make the same mistake again and again. Our debt/borrowing actually began right after the end of WWII circa 1947!! Prior to 1913, we had import tariffs which helped protect American jobs, companies, people, and industries; our country prospered without borrowing! Around 1913, our government suspiciously terminated import tariffs and replaced that revenue with income tax.... WWI, The Great Depression of 1929, WWII followed, and ultimately, began borrowing within a couple years following the end of WWII. Sigh... how about we impose import tariffs to both generate more revenue AND protect the American PEOPLE's interests - jobs, companies, incomes, industries, .... Anyone?
I'll try. Need to get vets involved. People listen to those who've been over there. I think it's bullshit that there's no current popular bands or musicians that are speaking out against the war. Natalie Merchant did. Bless her heart and look what they did to her. Scared the rest of them silent. Musicians, poets, writers are the peoples voice. Where are they? Sad.
