I had recently acquired some Amitriptyline and I was curious to experiment so I did some research and I came to the conclusion that insufflation was the most direct and fastest route into my body so I had retrieved a pill 10 milligrams and I had grabbed a plate from my little stash of drug paraphernalia,a pill bottle to crush the tablet and a straw that would administer the drug after about a minute of pulverizing I had decided that the powder was sufficient for snorting so I inserted the straw into my nostrils and began to inhale the cyan colored powder almost immediately after sniffing the substance my nose began to burn with the intensity of the sun and I felt a little uplifted, drowsy and had mild hallucinations all at the same time I ignored the fire inside of my nostrils and began to move on with other things I noticed small little specks of blue and green floating across the room and a feeling of complete weakness all through my body my nose was inflamed and felt as if I had put gasoline in there and lit it I finally decided to clean up and go to sleep desperately praying that my nasal passages would quit burning I woke up about 5 hours later invigorated with energy and at the same time weariness and my nose was stopped up from the previous night's experiment overall I wouldn't say it was horrible and I discovered that the chemicals within my medication was supposed to burn and that the way I administered it was completely idiotic I tried swallowing later and had a better experience 100 fold I have quit experimenting with Amitriptyline and moved on past my drug years

Since it is a strong anti-muscarinic, that is why you get all messed up on high doses of it. It is essentially the same effect as Benadryl abuse. Of course, it is also a serotonin reuptake inhibitor and norepinephrine reputake inhibitor so it could give more of a mood lift, but overall, it is not something good to get high off of.
