    A racially charged riot by 300 people protesting the death of a 29 year old black man by London police included burning a double decker bus, looting, and attacks against police.

    Corrupt police, corrupt judges, corrupt attorneys, corrupt political ways, the people are sick of it. They should riot the police station and burn it down, flip over the judges cars, burn the suits of the politicians. Send these motherfuckers a message, we are tired of your bullshit and we want justice. If the country was told the truth about certain subjects the whole country would riot, London and many parts of Europe has showed they will.

    The corrupt people who take advantage of thousands should be hung in the street for all to see, a message saying don't fuck with the people, for all we want is peace n harmony and a fairness to all.

    Amen! I've been trying to get info on why Mark Duggan was shot but there is nothing coming out of anywhere. Bit strange if there is nothing to hide!

    I feel a lot of pent-up anger among the populace, not just in Britain but the US and many other countries. The Corporate takeover of our governments has corrupted politicians and police. In turn the politicians and police have enabled corporations (like News World) to reap record profits by ripping off their employees, shareholders and consumers in every way possible.

    As the once high standard of living of countries like the US and UK sink to third world levels for most people, there will be more of these kinds of riots. And the police will be there as well as the military with brand new weapons designed to control and contain the masses of protesters who will be herded into pens and treated like animals.

    So far the US and UK have been very lucky that their populace has not yet reached their breaking point. But that point is coming closer every day...

    I can understand why there is a riot ... what I can't understand is why every time they have to smash shop windows and start looting.

    Apparently, unless someone does that, it's not a riot, just a protest, which often gets ignored by the media. But smash a few shops, start a fire or two and it's all over the news. It's unfortunate, but that's how it works.

    I remember once I was in SF and was able to video the derailment of a cable car. I had some good footage so I took it to a TV station, and the first question they asked me was whether anyone was killed or injured. When I said no, they weren't interested in the video. I'm sure if there was some blood in the video they would've begged me for it.

    Many anarchists who are basically non-violent, feel it's ok to be violent against OBJECTS of the Capitalist system, as opposed to people. So for them it's ok to attack symbols of the system, like banks, big corporations, police vehicles and buildings, government, etc.

    I've noticed that impromptu race riots are not usually as selective as to targets. They might single out a certain race's businesses to attack or even people. They are not organized and those doing the looting are just opportunists, not protesters.

    Attacking your fellow citizens (e.g. shopkeepers) instead of the real target reeks of terrorism to me.

    Sorry for the strong word, but I just can't relate to that part.

    i don't have the damn link, but i read earlier that there was a peaceful protest about the shooting of Mark Duggan... a woman who was protesting peacefully was handled in an inappropriate way by a gung-ho officer and this is what sparked the riot, apparently... people have had enough of police attitudes... please don't quote me on this... i need to find the link but i'm not sure i can...

    This country is going crazy. its one thing after another. ive heard all this crap thats going on is going to get worse, peoples are trying to get more peoples to meet up at certain places at certain times.
