Increasing political instability, or New wave revolution?

It's incredibly apparent that major change is happening on this planet...
With a new generation of free thinkers who can openly and honestly communicate with each other the tide of politics is changing.. for better or for worse. Examples being


RIOTS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_riots is the world history of recorded riots... at first rare, but in 2011 alone there were 71 riots, a world record I might add. Every single year the riots are getting more and more, and the governments of the world will want to crack down on them.

REVOLUTIONS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_revolutions_and_rebellions#2010s Same as above, notice the dates.... what once a hundred years worth or revolutions is now 10 years. and even 1 year.

OVERPOPULATION

And a sharp technological increase, along with widespread communication and information I can only see the world going in two directions.


1. Being collapse, destruction and rebuilding
2. Being singularity, further evolution.

In my first model, there would be much war over resources, plenty of death, viruses, anarchy and a systematic collapse of all first world nations that depend on finances, there would then be a decay of what is left of society and a rebuilding, a new dark age so we can start the whole process over again...

Or a singularity occurs... more world unions fuze together, a world currency is put into place, leaders begin to share power with it's citizens, world electric grids are put into place and power between all nations becomes shared... third world nations now share the same role as first world nations, Travel between nations is free, a mutual respect occurs between cultures and religions and an essential world government would take place.

Granted these are not MY theories or models, but ones that have circulated around the massive "meme" around the globe, a hive mind of collective theories, much as we've become accustomed to.

SO, with the direction of the world, where do you believe it is politically heading?

I for one am for singularity and evolution.

 

I think those two choices are very limited.

 

Option 3: China and other eastern states form a union and completely take over the tech market, enslave all of Africa and force Europe and the US to their knees.

In two years time approximately you will get an e-mail with the following text:

of this we request that you report to the nearest
production facility.
