aobut 3/4 of that video is about making lysergic acid from scratch. only the last quarter talks about taking that and finishing an lsd synth. someone who is really good at chemistry may find the video useful, but otherwise its very complicated

the most simple method shulgin describes in tihkal and he breaks it down into four steps:
an isolate from ergot, mgs, or hbwr (lysergic acid amide)
a hydrolysate of that isolate (lysergic acid )
a coupling of that hydrolysate with diethylamine (iso-lsd (inactive) and lsd)
a seperation of that mixture into two components, one of which is lsd

albert hofmann said in his book "my problem child" that lsd is fairly easy to make. i think if a person is a professional chemist it would be easy to make. just like as a machinist, cutting left hand internal acme threads is another day on the job, but is really difficult for the learning hobbyist

Interesting the vinyl protects the mol. I was thinking something along those line when working with Mg seeds. (to complex to write it out though..

Yeah with the proper background, it's no problem. The real issue is getting the precursors and equipment. Damn DEA makes that kind of tough.:(
