So, I'm going to live in Montréal for at least five years. I can't speak any French, although I can generally understand what is said if I hear basic sentences. I've lived in small cities almost my entire life, so going to a metropolis is a bit daunting. Does anyone have any tips for me?
I've never been to Canada, but all the pple i know who have been there have insisted that if i ever visit the country i should bring very warm clothes.
and we all live in fucking igloos and hunt moose to feed our kids...for fuck sakes...how do you think some of the best outdoor weed in the entire world can come from a place that never gets warm...when we were ALL complaining about the recent heatwave across north america did you see us all posting about how cold it was here? to the op...you are about to move to one of the most exciting cities in the world ..the night life in old montreal is second to none and there is plenty of english people to talk to while you perfect your french... good luck on a smooth move....see our member bassline...she lives in montreal and loves it..i believe duck lives there too:mickey:
Whoa, i didn't realize my post had been that offensive. I only quoted advice i've been given, and i obviously meant during winter time.
not duck..he is american Bassline and The Earth are the only ones I know are in Montreal..there might be more but I wont disclose anyone who doesnt post their location publicly
right...earth...sorry duck lol...i knew someone with a 1 syllable name lived there................ we have snow in winter...and obviously the closer to the arctic circle you get the colder it is.....but the cold weather stereotype gets old....there are many days each year when we have better weather than florida
The naked bike ride went right passed my appartment last week! Live in the plateau if you have the money. Downtown is full of change begging hobos, and club types. You missed the festivals, but enjoy them next summer they are a lot of fun, look it online theres tons. Lots of hip stuff around mt-royal. Lots of English in montreal, but taking french classes doesnt hurt. Wear a condom and watch out for bed bugs.

My dream is to tie you on a Mastercraft snowblower to a Tupperware demonstration to make people laugh in my buddies Calisse. Fuck you bikini trimmer by a combine harvester! worry.
