Do a quick breakdown on how to easily grow pot? Like, how to identify females and such.


Also is it safe to buy seeds online?

I figured a personal response to me might help more, anyway.

Thx for trying to help, I appreciate it. I just spent a lot of time researching and learned quite a bit. Now I'm wondering;

Can you make hash out of males?
Do seeds from males make females sometimes?
And how do you get the seeds from the plants? [lol]

no not really because males dont make seeds, they make pollen ..

I'm serious, geez. If I'm gonna plant 1-3 plants at once, what should I do if some/all are males? As in, what do you recommend?

lol billboards....dude...read up on preflowering and throw the males away when and if they pop......they look beautiful and its heartbreaking to have to pull out your knife and sever a 7 foot plant because its male...it happens to us outdoor guys all the time...if yer gonna grow get used to it....the fuckin swamps are full of them in my county........dude...if you are a noob...start 20 plants and maybe 4 females will live if you lucky....its an art and is not 'easy money'....its 'difficult money' lol

 

But I don't want easy money. I want weed.

...And I need to grow it in my closet, like a ninja.

 

About the same for indoor growing you plant 10, 9 will spout 3 will be wimps that deserve to be kill as they will get left behind by the others and then 3 will be males usually your best looking plants too.
Lights are easy any sodium or metal halite flood light will grow and even cool or warm white ego bulbs but for the full banana you want proper grow lights and bulbs from a grow shop or web site.

 

So, do you think I should make 5 or more seedlings and once I can tell what is/isn't female, throw all away but 1-2 females?

Also,
What wattage or whatever should I get for the lights?

I have cloned non-marijuana plants before, and can get good gear easily.
My main problem is making sure I get a female or two, and have the right lights.


Also, just a question to everybody else... do you cure your weed?

What size space you thinking of using? Cos that plus style of grow will determin your plant numbers. Per square foot you want 50 watts of high pressure sodium or halite (hid's) for eco bulbs and tubes 80 watts. You can grow on less but plants will tend to grow leggy which you can life with if your've set up got head room.
Hid's comes in magnetic or electronic ballast types the magnetic ones are cheap but your largely stuck with what you buy ie wattage and bulb type sodium or halite although there are convertors, they tend to run quite hot and over time they will become noisy and lose a little of there brightness as the magnetic field inside degrades. Electronic or digital offers the choice between sodium and halite bulbs in one unit also some will include a dimmer and a super bright so will offer a choice of wattages in one unit they also tend to run alot cooler but are more pricey worth spending a little extra and getting quality as they were known to have a large out of the box failure rate then magnetic types.
Eco bulbs and tubes most cool white or warm white will grow but worth checking the colour tempture which is mark with a K rating anything from 2000-2700k and 4000-6000k. Most ppl grow just using sodium from veg through to bloom and is perfectly fine but if you were doing it by the book you would use halite to veg and the sodium to flower.

See you can keep the wimpy and slow growing ones and raise them up closer to the light as they start to get out done by the others but for me and a few growers they dont fit the end plan.
