that ankle flap number is misleading and incorrect. u need to measure the opening of the moc multiply by two and add four

Ahhh, this is so badass! Ive been doing research for ages trying to figure out if im skilled enough to do it. Do you know about how expensive it would be for a beginner? I also cant seem to find leather...but wait! Deer season is coming up! Maybe my dad can help me out...hmmmmmmm.....

    • sewing scissors can cost anywhere between 40 to 8 dollars. depending on how much you wanna spend. just never ever cut paper with them!

    • sinew costs 1.50 for more than enough to make one pair

    • glover needles are pretty cheap and you will only need one but they come in packs of many. i paid 1.50 for 5 needles

    • needle nose pliars, hmm i dont know how much they cost. odds are you have them in your tool box already.

    • as for the leather it all depends on what kind of tanning quality you want. i bought my hide for 30 dollars.

    • TOTAL: 41 dollars.

As for finding the deerhide. if you live near a native reserve you can definitely find it there. Also at a pow wow or other native cultural events that you can sometimes find outside of the reserves.
