Everyone thinks I'm strange just because I'm not social at all. Just because I'm 19 they expect me to have a million friends and party and be into pop culture. I've always been reclusive and I love my life the way it is, quiet and out of the mainstream but everyone keeps asking if I'm depressed, if I'm ok, why don't I go out more and socialize and it's getting pretty old, like they can't accept a quiet mature 19 yr old girl, we all have to be social, loud, obnoxious, and mainstream or we're 'off'. And just because I dress different and don't listen to the latest thing I'm looked down upon by girls my age but I refuse to get sucked into the media hype.

sorry for my annoying whiny rant but school is starting again soon so the merry go round starts again

hahaha I wear a lot of dresses shorts, anything comfy/flowy I hate how restrictive jeans are. my neighbor is caring and sweet but sometimes i get annoyed how she tries to drag me to church, ppl at school know me because I got a stupid reputation for some bs drama so laying low helped with that =P

Sounds like myself really, but my problem is I tend to be an iconoclastic misanthropist, un-apologetically. I think I just need to move away to a more correlative area. But I wouldn't whine about being less like others, I consider it a virtue, just be happy with creating a little diversity. I wish more would stop trying so hard to 'fit in' and realize that we are essentially all one under the same groove.

haha kinda off. I dress in casual clothes, t shirts shorts and dresses, but I grew up playing sports and having all guy friends. i look very fem though

ya it's a community college and its teeming with people from my high school so it's drama, or old footballplayers/ cheerleaders still looking down on everyone. i've met a few weirdos but its mainly preppy people or people minding their own business which is always good.
