I understand most things about growing weed now!
[thanks in part to some of you guys on here :sunny:]

There's only one thing left... what kind of light do I get?
Specifics please, I need to know the right wattage and all.
If you could link me to an exact page for the right light with wattage and everything, that would be great. Perferably if that site also sells chains to hang the light with.

One other thing, do I go from 18/6 hours to 12/12 as soon as I see the white hairs on the (female) plant? Or what? How do I know exactly when to change the light cycle?

So yeah, I got everything else down I guess. I'll get good quality soil, and
"borrow" a bucket from my uncle. I'll germinate a few feminized seeds and grow them in cups as seedlings, then put 1 female in each bucket (I'll have 2 or 3) and hang the light overhead.

I'm gonna stop by wal-mart and buy those emergency blanket things, they are much better then aluminum foil for putting on the walls so the sides of the plant get more light. (I was gonna use alluminum foil, lol)

But yeah, once again, how do I know when exactly to tell when to change the light cycle? And should I stick a weak fan in my closet with the weed?

Oh, one other thing. Do I make a sulution of fertilizer? I'm clueless on fertilizer as well, and the lights. Otherwise I'm good to go, I suppose.

Please answer whatever you can, and feel free to point out errors in my, err, "plan" here. Thanks! :2thumbsup:

    .

We understand you like to grow some cannabis .. Truth is its a little late in the season for outdoors.

And an indoor grow op cant be put together in 20minutes.

UK and Netherland seed companies dont send to the USA or Canada, unless your been doing business with them for a long time. Even then I wouldnt expect miracles .. but to lose your money.

Well if you can pay on attitude seed bank in U.S. dollars, then why wouldn't they ship to me?

And I can get my stuff together, not a problem...

Look at the website that I posted. It says they ship international, and on your credit card it will show up as "attitude gifts". If you want, they ship it with a t-shirt for extra stealth.

This makes me think that they are used to shipping to the US?

Take a look at the site again, tell me what you think

    ALSO,
I only want to grow 1-3 plants, in my closet. I'm not filling a warehouse with 100 grand worth of shit so I can accomidate NYC, I just want a bit of pot for myself.

I wouldnt trust it. who are you going to report your money stolen too? The bank, the police, the BBB ??
For what your doing and getting into at a beginners stage . Bag seed is your best option. That means buy some seedy weed and grow the seeds. youll gain experience..

Yeah, but the problem is where the heck am I gonna get weed in this small town?

I mean, I met a dude who said he smoked weed once with a friend, and we might hang out more sometime but he might've just been saying it to seem cool, I dunno.

    Anyway, look at this link
    http://www.seedbankupdate.com/su.html
Attitude is pretty high on that list for the ratings, and I think I saw a guy or two on here say they ordered from attitude. Or not, maybe it was another forums.

Well I ordered off attitude, I'm gonna get 11 Afghani Hindu Kush seeds and a or some free seeds with it. Meh, my only problem now is I'm 60 bucks short of a light. Unless I can get something to use the whole time for less then 120.. but yeah I found a place to get a 400w hps for 120 bucks... but I only got 60 now.

Assuming 1sq ft per plant a 400 isnt exactly going to cut it you want 60 wats per sq ft minimum for flowering iv been took veg can use less but 400/11 36 :( it even a 600 would be only be 54 I would reccomend two 400s for this situation if you insist on growing these1 1 plants allso for assuming they are photoperiod I go 20/4 light veg 12/12 flower and worked wonders for me... idealy you would have more use in the future covering square metter 10sq ft with a 600 and posibly haveing another to simply swap veg/flower 10 plants/10clones each time.....that said some iv heard of several dwarf plants being poted together in an extra large grow bag for a sog type grow but that is not the case here so it just depends how tall your plants get really short answer yes 5gallon will grow most indoor plants fine but knowing the exact hight and geting gallon pot acordingly can save you on costly soil I do a 50/50 roots organic indoor soil and their perlite 1.5 cubic feed cost 26 4 dirt and 15 for prelite i belive so there is that....I hope i answered you question along with i hope your using a carbon filter and proper ventaltion lights get hot if you can aford to air cool your bulbs in air cool reflecter do so....sry stoned but hopefuly helpfull :)

a single 400 unit, will leave you a little disappointed.. 3/4 plants oh ya thats fine , youll have nice buds. But you will clearly not have enough dried product with a single 400unit. / Maybe some fools exaggerate the dried harvest weight that they get over the internet to look cool.

Truth is, you wanna perfect system. 4x 400.. twin grow rooms. 2- 400watt lamps each. two HPS conversion brings your wattage combined to 1400W ..

On a start up. Place one metal halide and one HPS in both rooms, veg both rooms,, should you have 25sq= when you sex, you should have an equal amount or better female, toss males / make space/ start new ones in your tossed males potting. You dont want to fall behind and always keep plants moving for rotation. If your starting off with seeds you have to babysit these or face the consequences. Sometimes you can get lucky and births take place really nice. But if you have terrible soil to start, bad watering and heat.. Babies die..

when you flower you can share the lamps, or or put the HPS lamps all together.. Or you can Burn all 1400W of them in a bigger full flower room.

Why I choose the 400W lamps. commercially (lol they are cheaper and easier to ummmmm get.. But also more of them commercially. thus cheaper for part online and retailers. - bare bone kits are the way to go if you wanna save money. Stop looking in store like lowes and home depot and look in the phone book under "electrical supply company".. ask them for "outdoor halides", even indoor lamps.

It amazes me I dont get paid for this.. https://www.cooper-electric.com/web...splay?langId=-1&storeId=11201&catalogId=10151

Well just wanted to warn guy w/ 11 plants and one 400 light he would end up disappointed and possibly falsely blame strain or another factor when it would seem the main limiting factor for him is light.
Just to be sure it didn’t get lost on other page I’m going to repeat I hope you knows about carbon filters and how one would be needed; and not to cheap for larger ones.

If I were You with his current assortment of growing gear I would only grow 7 maybe 8 but 8 is cutting it close on watts even though 7 is uneven number I would rather have quality over quantity I guess; if you’re going one per ftsq what I would likely do That being said it would seem the above posts seem to kind of agree and they have much more knowledge and grows under their belt. Listen to them over me anyday I have just done a lot of online research a few successful grow. Just trying to contribute back to a forum that has helped me so much w/e you end up doing good luck! and be safe!

I've ordered from them and not had a problem.

I can fit 4 plants in a 4 X 2 1/2 grow tent and a 400 watt does ok. I don't grow them big, 3 ft max. You can have heat and burn problems, if tops get too close they fry. Bigger is not always better.
