    Hi everyone.

First time poster here. Just wanted to share an experience I had yesterday afternoon...

It was around 2pm at my local Co-operative store. I had just walked inside and picked up a basket when I noticed a lassie walking toward the checkout in bare feet. I was a bit taken aback as I’ve never seen a female barefooter roaming around where I live (Edinburgh) but there she was, a beautiful brunette wearing a small jacket and light jeans with amazing looking feet and dark red painted toes. I have to confess, I’m not a great lover of painted toes but these were just sheer perfection!

Had I arrived one minute later, our paths would’ve crossed outside the shop but, as it was, I was caught in a hopeless position. I really wanted to talk to her but, if I dropped my basket and ran outside immediately it wouldn’t have looked very good. There were people outside anyway and I didn’t know if she was with anyone, had a car or whatever...

My second choice seemed to be to do the quickest shop ever and get out of there ASAP but, me being me, I dithered in the first aisle and caught a glimpse of her as she walked past the window. It was at that point I grabbed my milk and rolls (while sporting a boner!) and exited the building but, alas, she was nowhere to be seen :(

I know it’s a long shot but I’m kinda hoping she’s a member on here and will read this post! I really hope she is and will because I can honestly say I’ve never seen such a naturally beautiful lassie in my life. The bare feet were just an added bonus lol.

Anyway, fast forward to the early hours of this morning and there was torrential rain in the capital. I’m not confident about walking barefoot during the daytime (scared of people’s reactions) so, at 3am, out I went for a walk around the neighbourhood and into the local park. The feeling of the soaking wet grass against my feet was fantastic and it helps there are a set of goalposts in the park as it’s quite muddy in the goalmouths, which means I can squish around and get my soles really dirty!

Finally got back to bed at 4am. I really enjoyed that hour :)

  2. Faith and begorrah! OOPS. Wrong country. UM, Haggis! Anyway, welcome to the convoluted world of barefooting. Exasperating, scintillating, sexualized, socialized, and GODDAM FUN! You're showing all the classic symptoms of a newbie barefooter, but---STAY WITH IT. It's worth the aggravation, contemplation, adjustments, and---did I mention?---the GODDAM FUN. Having been thru Edinburgh, I'd say it was a fabulous place for barefooting; lots of different areas to walk through, onto, over, into, &etc. Barefoot in the rain? FANTASTIC! Barefoot in mud? AWESOME. You've come to the RIGHT FORUM! Fish and chips! NO. Wrong country.....

  3. I know it's a long time ago (very early 70s) but I never wore shoes at all. I was living between Edinburgh and various free gatherings at the time. Never had any probs whatsoever in Edinburgh. Lots of green spaces interspersed with very well maintained pavies and because there are always loads of tourists nobody gave a fuck how you were.
Be bold - ditch the shoes whenever you can! ;)

Yeah welcome indeed. Went to Edinburgh last year, but mid winter and way too cold for barefooting..:(

  6. So much better than what I'm dealing with right now -even the boardwalk is so fucking hot it burns the soles of my feet!

  7. I've had that happen, but later the stinging feel is so fucking powerful!

  8. Not when the only way to get off it is to take your life in your hands and run across even hotter sand ;) I have to explain that it wasn't so hot when I first hit the beach this morning but by the time I had finished my swim it was hitting 100ºF

:sunny: hot sand is the proof bench of heat tolerance to me... i do *love* feeling scorching black tar under my soles, but sand is another story. after almost a decade spent going bf more and more, in the peak of summer, during the top hours of day heat , i still cannot stand still for long on the dry belt of the shore...

Welcome to the forum, friend; and good luck with the lassie. You are a gentleman. Make friends with the check-out people and maybe they can help you two meet.
