So I was tripping with a few people at my friends house for his birthday, some were drinking and smoking and some were tripping. Anyways, 3 of us had freaking awesome trips, but one of them kinda refused to talk to anyone all night he basically just was ripping apart a wicker chair he was sitting on piece by piece. We dropped at about 9pm, and the fire went out around 3 so my bud and I went to our tent, him to sleep and me to continue tripping with headphones. At this point there were four of us at the birthday boy's property (others went to eat with sober driver), two of us in a tent and two outside by the dead fire. The one who wouldn't talk was out there with a guy who was nearly passed out drunk. Anyways about 20-30m later we hear a lot of racket outside of the tent, I guess the quiet one had a psychotic episode and the drunk guy had to tackle him so he didn't get murdered and fled into the house. I was scared for my life if that tripper was going psychotic outside. So he left in his car (this is about 8-10 hours after dropping) just as the others who went to eat arrived. I guess he wrecked a guys side mirror, and sledge-hammered a few things like planters and some speakers. Basically what I am wondering is if my friend freaking out like that means he is in the "underlying schitzo" camp and he will never be baseline again? None of us have been able to talk to him since he left, and his parents said he was quote "incapacitated" when we went over to ask for money for broken items. Sorry if this makes no sense now, I'm still on afterglow. If you need clarification on anything here please let me know.
Well if you're still in the afterglow I'm guessing this wasn't too long ago. If he had a heavy experience, he's probably still pretty shocked at what happened/out of energy. It may take a while for him to be rested enough to be outgoing and energetic again. So hopefully he's alright, and though it's possible that he did have some sort of psychotic break due to the LSD I wouldn't be worried about it just yet!
Update: I have not talked in person with my friend, but he said he is feeling completely normal and baseline now. I guess that was his first and last LSD experience.
How old is he? Has he shown or experienced any other bizarre behaviour when drinking or smoking weed/using other drugs? Was this a one time thing?
It may or may not be, and that may or may not have been on purpose :sunny: Anyways, to answer a few questions, he is 18, this was his first time, but he planned to possibly do it a few more times if it was enjoyable, and he does actually display some abnormal behavior while sober usually but I have never seen alcohol or weed actually have any effect on him outwardly. Also, I doubt he would take lsd again now, but I do agree that in some cases higher doses are more predictable and safer.
It is kind of tough to describe to be perfectly honest, nothing particularly disturbing, just kind of trolling people and such. I never thought much of it because I myself act strangely :mickey: at times before and after LSD.
I wouldn't worry about it. Unless he's interacting with sights or sounds that no one else senses, I doubt it's a big deal.
Sounds like he was just fucked up on LSD to me lol If he said he feels completely normal and baseline now he should be fine
Yeah I think he's all good. He says he saw 'demons' and he was throwing the things at them and such. I have never seen anything that completely isn't there while on acid (I mean like completely new entities not just patterns or visuals) so I am not sure if I completely buy it, but either way I am happy things are good and he just has to pay for some damages to physical things not to his mind.
