A few weeks ago I was camping, with some friends and a few cousins. Me and one of my cousins were inhaling camp fire smoke at first just to see if we could blow smoke rings, then we realized we almost could, so without thinking we constantly inhaled fire smoke threw out the camping trip randomly when we were bored, just to blow smoke at each other or smoke rings (you know, random dumb pointless shit you do when your bored and immature :D)
It wasn't until after 3 or 4 days of inhaling camp fire smoke i realized, "whoa... I don't even know if this is bad for us or not..." at the time i assumed it was fine cause it was "natural" just burning wood, but then i thought of how people always have to get treated after house fires from inhaling all that smoke, so i was wondering... How bad is it to inhale camp fire smoke? Not that i plan on doing it again... We were just havin' a little fun at the time blowing random smoke around.. haha!

probably wouldnt wanna do that again. if you are fine now, i wouldn't worry about anything

could be mold spores or anything in wood, burn and you end up sick.

people dying in fires is more from lack of oxygen and actual burned lungs from the heat than the smoke

campfire smoke is way safer than house fire smoke just because houses are full of other toxics way worse smoke than just wood ...but its still not the greatest thing to do

Yeah i wasn't worried or anything, just curious to see if it did any actual damage, because i was thinking... people sit by campfires all the time, i'm sure when sitting near enough to a fire, you're bound to inhale lots of the smoke right

I camp every year and there is no way to avoid the smoke going in your face every few seconds. I'm fine, but I wouldnt do it on purpose

Ah yes, i was thinking that, not to mention all the paint on the walls and stuff in a house. Good to know, and yes I wouldn't do it on purpose again either, its just that was a... very boring camping trip! hahaha

    It depends on the wood.

Pine and other really oily woods aren't good for you. Most are fine.

You didn't have a huge exposure. Don't worry about it.
