Companies spend millions developing ultimate virtual environments that depict a detailed representation of reality to a user. But anyone can make one a 100 times greater than these. Using our minds as the super computer to create the environments and our dreams to display them.

With Lucid dreams we are able to control and change our dream environment as we see fit, something Virtual reality simulations are far from achieving. So wouldn’t this make our dreams the ultimate virtual reality experience?

I think it's the secondary vertual reality, depersonalization is the ULTIMATE virtual reality, did you ever get it? Many people freak out about it,think somethings wrong with them, but I think it's fuckin' awsome!! followed by dreams ( especially lucids...). :)

its the same reason why someone would rather watch tv than go out and experience things themselves. its easier

displaying and shairing them IS the challange however. and 'v.r.' is potentialy one artform method which holds great potential for doing so. it is unfortunate that it is so seldom used in that way and that there is so little appearant market/incentive for doing so.

i know that is what i would so much much much more wish to see and enjoy doing so. but appearently this seems to put me in a very niche majority.

niche markets are still real markets if not always monetarily profitable ones, but often the most gratifing on a deeper, fuller and less tangable level

depersonalization's not so fun when you have it a lot. if it didn't make you feel so empty and emotionless, i agree it would be cool.

It DOES make me feel like that. But I think it's cool as hell anyways! But then again, I have trouble showing emotions anyways, and I'm kinda unemotional (not COLD! I care, I just don't feel anything. It's not emotion...but emotional thought...wait...how do I explain this?I care about how others feel and I cry out of sympathy for them....not for me, I personally, care way more about others then myself. the easy way out: Aquarius! ^^; ). So I guess I'm a different case...:p

And the empty feeling...I think it boosts my philosophical thought, and I like intallectual stuff. So I like that feeling too! :)

Sometimes I have dreams that actually I feel like I'm controling the character in it... and that as I'm doing this, I actually know it's a dream too...weird?...maybe...lol

that liberation of detatchment is the only time i don't feel anxiety. it is sooo welcome to me. and such a relief.

that way most people seem to want to be with other people is just as alien to me as my wanting not to be appearantly is to them

it's not shyness or fear or hatred or anything like that
it's what does and does not feel natural to me
and being alone is just that much more comfortably natural for me, the way i suppose being with others might be for other people
