The other day I acquired some chocolates which my supplier told me contained the extracted alkaloids from psilocybe mushrooms. Each chocolate was said to be equivalent to 4g of shrooms. I tried one on Friday and the effects led me to believe his information was accurate. I have 2 more left and am contemplating eating them together sometime this week. Does anyone have any experience with mushroom extract to share before I jump in? (e.g. are the effects different from eating regular dried shrooms?)
extracts come on alot faster as the chemicals are right there ready to be digested. When you eat shrooms you have to digest the fruit bodies to get to some of the alkaloids which is the reason for the come-up being so long as well as the duration. Eating mushrooms is like taking slow release painkillers in a way, because the chemicals only get released into your system as you digest the mushrooms. With extracts the alkaloids are absorbed much faster, which increases the intensity of the trip and decreases the duration
he prolly has to digest the chocolate to get to that sweet mushroom extract, whatchall think? i aint no chemist
Even though, glucose is the first thing to be digested. As soon as you taste the sugar, it's digested, so it wouldn't take so long before that chocolate gets dissolved into his stomach! I have to concur shroom truffles are the bomb! :sunny: I have a friend who's a chocolate maker AND a psychonaut so I sometimes have the opportunity to get that treat, but he doses them lower than what the OP got (1-2g per truffle usually). I wouldn't take both 4g truffles at the same time, I once had 7g of dried shrooms at once and thought it was too much, it was really painful. Maybe start with one in whole and half of the second one? If things go well, have the other half, but I guess 6g would be way fine.
Thanks for the replies guys. So what do you think about chewing the truffles, then holding them under my tongue? How do you think this will affect things? And how long should they be held there?
