Steely Dan might be one of my favorite tripping bands. Their music is so clean and the recording is so precise. They are up there with the likes of Pink Floyd.
Speaking of Floyd, here is my all time favorite tripping song (obvious but must hear if you haven't):

PS, don't check your speakers, it's just sneaking up on you like an acid trip.

Silence is good too! Anyways it doesn't remain silent for very long, I swear I could hear some music playing last time I had a trip in total silence.

The first time I tripped, the song that really took me to another level was Cream's "I'm So Glad". It's like it was written with tripping in mind, I guess a bunch of Cream songs are like that though. Also, Jimi Hendrix's "Third Stone From the Sun" is fucking awesome while tripping or while sober. If you have the vinyl copy of the first Experience album and speed that song up it comes out all weird but super cool. Here's a link to it on youtube:

The band Mother Mother has some interesting song, especially while tripping.
The song I post will be my favorite to listen to sober, but the best trip songs are on an album I don't have and haven't really explored yet, my friend just had some songs off of it while we were tripping.

I agree! I love Eyedea&Abilities so bad, mind-blowingly beautiful stuff to listen to while tripping.

Anything by Pink Floyd, The Beatles, or just things like that. Try Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds maybe.

Not sure if anyone already posted this or if I did.
But Grassroots - Let's Live for Today.
This song has defined many of my trips. The beginning is so simple yet beautiful which helps convey the true meaning of the song.
Also it gets surprisingly trippy in the middles for a hippy guitar song. Take a listen!
Not sure if this is the studio version, but if you find the studio version listen to that (stereo side changes and such add tot he experience):
