thank you will be about a month here soon, i think, haha. buttttt what would you guys recommend as far as dry scalp, dandruff, itchy scalp goes? ive been doing a baking soda wash about once a week and if im real sweaty. my hair seems to be really clean but my scalp is a little itchy, nothing terrible, but it does get annoying sometimes.
I hear peppermint is supposed to help relieve the itch, not the dandruff itself. Just a few drops of oil in your wash should do. I use tea tree oil for dandruff and it has worked great for me so far. I put 4 drops of that in my wash. When I first started doing dreads I had a bit of dandruff but after a few months it seemed to calm down, perhaps the scalp takes a little time readjusting to the new washing process? (That was really just me pondering aloud haha)
Awesome progress! Cant wait to see them as they mature! As far as the dandruff and stuff, ive always put a few drops of tea tree oil in my shampoo and never really had any problems. Good luck on your journey, you seem like a fun guy!
Where can I buy these oils? Just like a hair store? My dandruff isn't real bad and neither is the itch really just kinda gets annoying at times, especially it seems when its hot/humid out. anddd thanks Here's a few more from this last weekends festival.. eace:
I bought mine at Chamberlains, think they also have them at whole foods. You can also order them offline for pretty cheap.
Haha, pigs are gonna try to roll on anyone regardless. and I dont think i've ever heard of a Whole Foods or a Chamberlains around here so I guess I just have to look around or I may just order them online since I have some extra cash on my paypal.
That stinks. I have a chamerlains up the street. Guess I'm lucky. Well there are plenty of sites online to buy them and a bottle will last a looooong time if you use it properly which is just a few drops really. If you need more info on oils feel free to message me.
Well I spent a good few minutes trying to figure out how to message you until I gave up and just decided to post, haha. Buttttttt what type of oils do you use and whats the best way to apply em?
