Sorry, after my last post I wasn't on for a couple days. I took around 18mg my first time. I like how this stuff is very present in this range, yet most people like to take it a bit higher. I can't wait to see what that's like. By this time I'm assuming you've dosed, time to read thru the past 12 pages.

Next time count how many you are taking and disregard weight. The shaman's and such didn't weigh doses, they counted them. If memory serves Maria Sabina who I believe provided Leary (?) and others with their fist shroom trip said about 32 small shrooms was the needed dose for a spiritual journey. (not sure of the names/places, but the number of 32 shrooms I've seen in many places)

I have noticed rather plainly that mushrooms seem to reach a peak of psilocin/psilocybin content and any further growth just means more bulk, not more good stuff in the bulk.
I have taken a gram that was comprised of many little shrooms and aborts that floored me ten times more than 3 grams of 7" long stems and 3" caps.
I think that is because the gram of babies was about twenty individual shrooms, where the bigger ones only were about 4-5 shrooms for the 3 grams.

So I think that potency for shrooms is best when the caps haven't opened yet, beyond that I don't believe any more active chemicals are produced, they just bulk up.
Sad because if a person is growing them for sale they will go for as much weight as possible which means a more diluted concentration of good stuff.

 

what print was that, where the 1 hit floored you?

so individual shrooms of the same batch can vary a lot in potency right? it's even more variable than LSD, because two hits from the same sheet are closer than two shrooms from the same grow?

two shrooms from the same grow can be like 10x difference in tryptamine content, 2 hits from same sheet tend to be 99% same LSD content.

The one hit was a red shiva :drool5: what was i thinking lol

I think I've asked this before and didnt get an answer, but when it comes to prints, how do you know they are the same? I always read about people from different parts of the world talking about how blue shivas are good and so on, but can't you buy any kind of sheets of blotter on the Internet? And if so, doesnt that mean that anyone could buy any kind of blotter and put whatever they want on it?

I was told way back that is part of the magic of shrooms. The high rate of variability. Not only between batches but yes within individual strains.

I think it was Richard Shultes that she turned on to shrooms and alot of pop icons like Lennon and Jaggar but wiki doesn't mention Leary. I don't recall for sure either but alot of people made the pilgramage to Oaxaca.
