doing the dishes

i seriously hate it. i don't know why i let my sink fill up with dishes. seems mush easier to manage when they're all clean and i just use one of each.. bowl, plate, spoon, fork, butter knife, knife, chopsticks, mug, and water glass


do you do the dishes? by hand or with a machine?


i do love that feeling i get when they are all washed though...

I don't have a dish washer, so I have to wash them by hand.

 

I have a dishwasher, but I just use it because I like the idea of super-sterility (even if that's not really what it does, I pretend it does and it works in my happy world). I have to wash the dishes before I wash them in the dishwasher anyway, if you leave stuff on the plates, it'll just end up on everything and when it gets hot, it melts to the plates and becomes super difficult to clean.

 

I remember shit sticking to the plates in the dishwasher as a kid. Having to wash them first made the dishwasher seem pointless to me. I guess that's why I never bothered to get one.

Dishwaser. It's a lot easier and it uses like 6 times less water than the most careful dishwasher; also half the energy.

I love to cook but don't like doing dishes, so it works out best when I have someone I'm cooking for who'll wash them. But I actually wash as I cook, so usually there are not that many.

 

I hate doing it too, but its not any better when its full, just more work. Thank God that I have a TV in the kitchen, or I just listen to music while washing.

 

By hand. I like using paper plates.

I agree, im so glad that i have learnt to do it really quickly.

Yep i always wash my own dishes, and of course when i have loads of family over i end up doing the dishes...it used to take me about 1hour or two.

I think washing can be more of a nightmare if items are left dirty for too long - which is what im good at avoiding *wooo.*

I hope you develop a better relationship with washing. I dont hate it as much as i used to.

Yes, I do the dishes several times a day. It's one of my OCD's. If there are dirty dishes in the sink it drives me crazy and I have to get up and wash them. I do them by hand, hate dishwashers they are a waste of water.

 

I use a lot of paper plates and plastic cups, since I no longer have a dishwasher. I hate dishes, but I will not allow anybody else to do dishes in my house, as I am very particular about how they get washed.

i wash dishes as i use them. 10 seconds a meal is really not so bad.

 

still only a few things left.. why am i sitting here typing this instead of doing them?
