Just come back from a 2 week holiday in Majorca - only spotted one barefoot woman carrying her shoes. Got home and spotted a barefoot girl in the High Street with no shoes in sight. First 2 I've seen in absolutely ages!

On my way into the local Walmart I saw a guy on his way out who was barefoot. I said "Hey, I like your shoes", and he said the same to me as I was barefoot too. I go to this Walmart at least once a week, never wearing shoes and this is the first time in a couple of years I've seen anyone else barefoot there.

Saw a boy on the market walking his dog barefoot (yes the dog too) and later I saw a woman cycling barefoot with her husband.

Both on the same day in my hometown, must be the first time ever.

I keep forgetting to mention when I post here about my new neighbours. They moved into the house directly across the street about two months ago, and I saw them every few days for a month or so before that as they kept coming to check on the progress of their house (it's a newly built neighbourhood, and they were staying with family, so they were anxious to move in). They are not barefoot all the time, but when they are at home, inside and out, they seem to be barefoot most of the time. When they go out they wear those five-finger shoes, and they are both joggers who run in their five-finger shoes. Their kids (they have three) are also barefoot almost every time I see them, even when they are going out.

Did I mention they are smoking hot? Both of them are just gorgeous. When I first saw the husband (Mark), he was driving his Honda Element, and I noticed his vanity plate, it says "Mount Joy". I was really really (really) hoping it was a playful invitation, and that they might be swingers. When I introduced myself to his wife, I was crossing my fingers her name would be Joy. Alas, it was not to be, her name is actually Agatha (ugh, now THAT is an old name, believe me, she doesn't look like an Agatha at all). I still keep an ear on them to see if (pleasepleaseplease) he might call her Joy as a pet name or something, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case. Oh well, I can still drool every time they come outside barefoot and play with their kids on the lawn.

She was out today sitting in a lawn chair with her bare feet on the mound of dirt in her garden, using it like an ottoman. Very sexy today. So I thought I'd post about them, since I keep forgetting. Hot or not, it's good to have some (semi)barefoot neighbours. Being eye-candy is just a bonus for me!

Saw 3 guys at the train station, one of them barefoot with no shoes in sight.

If you see a barefoot person in my hometown, 66% chance he/she is German. And so was this guy.

ditto, from may to late september my town is flooded with german tourist and when you see someone barefoot around here other than me (or my former muay thai teacher, to be honest), you can bet he/she is from germany. this suspect amounts to certainty if you come upon entire crews of barefooters. usually they're 'van people'... my kinda people :hippy: .

Today I saw maybe 25 to 30 people barefoot, either in their yards, on sidewalks or moving around blocks. Both male and female, adult or kids. It's amazing what the passing of a hurricane causes.

^ That's odd, because in hazardous materials environments one would figure they'd have on the bulkiest / stiffest / worst footwear possible. o_o Nice to hear that the opposite happens! :D

Well, it had to take me working overtime yesterday to encounter another barefooter - and an experienced one, too, considering the silver toe rings he wore, the nicely and evenly tanned feet, the dark soles and his sure and easy stride, telling me of years-long experience... after passing me, the only thing that could stop him, were red lights at a ped crossing.
    :D

that's one of those sightings that justify the presence of this thread :2thumbsup: ... barefoot traveling hippies represent a species threatened with extinction :p

Saw a barefoot man in my hometown today. He was wearing a black leather jacket and jeans. He couldn't walk straight because he was obviously drunk, and maybe not used to walking barefoot, maybe both. Then he sat down on the ground, rolled a cigaret and opened a can of beer. While drinking his beer, he pulled up the legs of his jeans, showing his feet to people walking by, maybe he was trying to wash his feet in the rain.

It wasn't a pretty sight alltogether, I was even glad that I was wearing shoes today.

Saw a guy in his forties in shorts and a polo shirt shopping barefoot in a neighborhood market that just opened recently. Nobody seemed to notice or care, so I think I'll be doing a lot more shopping there from now on.
