I don't really believe it's true - though possible.....I heard Joe Rogan say that religion began from cavemen who were out gathering food and discovered magic mushrooms...lol...that might explain some of the shit people saw in teh bible.

23,000 years from cave man adam to that socialist turned pacifist in roman occupied canaan, or whatever it was called before a bunch of egyptian political refugees settled there. what bothers me is how few look passed what they think is obvious because it is so dominant and familiar to them.

Could be true, it could not be true

Joe Rogan is a comedian first so even though a lot of his ideas are really appealing I don't know if they are even meant to be true...

I see; the whole gift thing has a screw up. It starts of Cain and ABel and never really understands the fellowman, who he is and what he's for. Environmentalism should consider the process of determining Love at Home at the same time that we begin our trusting grace at Home.

Some of the feminist stuff in the nineties had the probe of defining that the women of thee world deserve better myths from the bible. Did God have a feminine face.

Yeah, women get the shaft in the Bible. At least Da Vinci put Mary Magdalene in the Last Supper painting.

Uh, when Moses went up to Mt. Sinai, he got cold at night and found some dry branches to make a fire to warm him up. Of course the branches came from a plant know as cannabis and the visions he saw after inhaling the smoke, you know, things like "thou shall not kill," resulted. Oh, yeah and he actually thought it was God talking to him, not the spirit of cannabis... What an idiot!

I know; but then, the pre-cursers to the house of David went out into the forests of (Jordan) east of the Dead Sea and a woman found <where Moses was ostracized from the KIngdom of Israel: never came back you know.> the sacred muchroom, and the first prosperity and equality of economic action began to reign for the Israelites as they crossed the jordan River to Judaea.:2thumbsup:

That's actually Terrence Mckenna's stoned ape theory. Mckenna's argument didn't have to do with religion specifically but the birth of human reflection in general, which religion is definitely a part of but not exclusive to.

To someone who isn't familiar with a mushroom trip, you probably think its just about seeing stuff that isn't really there. Having experienced the mushroom trip, I know that it makes you think of yourself and your place in the world much more than you otherwise would. It really forces you to face parts of yourself that you otherwise ignore, like how you've treated people and acted in the past. You really get a sense of what sin is, and you either accept all that you've done and forgive yourself or suffer a really bad trip or nervous breakdown.

Before human beings developed moral codes, art, and written language, they were caught up in the laws of the jungle like any other animal. I could imagine that if they had a mystical experience, whether through fasting or psychedelic drugs, the knowledge of of oneness to the whole may have lead to a need to develop stronger ethical and moral codes. This could have lead to more social cohesion and group inclusiveness, which paved the way to more complex societal structures.

The psychedelic experience also highlights patterns in nature. If you think of any kind of art, music, or even language, its really all an exaggeration or caricaturization of patterns that are already in the environment of the external world or the collective imagination.

What the hell did you just say. the evolution of species is not true? i hate to burst your bubble man but evolution is all around us man. why you think there are so many different races of man kind? so many species of animals? and how some of the same species of animal have variations due to their environment? o wait i forgot God just made a bunch of different versions like how you can get Windows 7 or Windows 98 lol

and yes it is the stone aped theory and truth be told when you look into it it makes a bit of sense.

Hearsay? the proof of the matter is that evolution is in front of us. Then how do you explain so many different races of mankind? why are black people black? white people white?
