    Hi
    Folks

Anyone with experience growing these or poppys in general. Could use some advice on from seed growing. I think they are beautiful and have some seeds coming in a week or two.

    Help appreciated
    Cheers

I've grown them, but didn't try to cultivate them, just scattered the seed and that was that. Usually they lie dormant until the soil is turned then off they go, and they do seem to like ground that is quite stoney. Once they've flowered they sow themselves and with luck you'll have blooms for a few years.

Welsh poppies are much easier. They spring up almost anywhere the wind takes them. My neighbour cuts them down every time he mows his lawn, but back they come...he's so clinical. On the other hand I must drive him mad, everything grows in my garden with wild abandon just as nature intended.
