I have only ever used shrooms three times, as I found LSD and liked it better, so I don't have much experience. I do plan on trippin the shams again sometime very soon. One time I bought a bit of shrooms and they tasted alright, just like regular cooking mushrooms so I didn't need any help getting those down. The other second bag I had contained shrooms that tasted so badly like dirt or something I could barely put one in my mouth without gagging. The texture was disgusting as well. I needed to find something to down them with. As it turns out, I had brought a bag of Hawkins brand cheezies. These are the hard ones that come in these bags: Now I am not sure if those are just a Canadian brand of cheezies, but I found out they are fantastic to eat with shrooms. Just put one in your mouth then put a small amount of shrooms in and chew and swallow. The cheezie taste is so over-powering that you can't taste the shrooms, and they are so hard that when you bite down you only feel the cheezie. Also they both become swallowable mush at the same time. Please post your favorite method of getting down mushrooms. If you are a seasoned pro who never requires any assistance, please just post what you think might work or the best you may have used as a beginner. My fav is using my icecube tray to make chocolates. Take desired dose, I fancy 2.5 g's for my starter, then place in coffee grinder or food processor to obtain powder/tiny pieces. Then use whatever chocolate (I use Hershey's Symphony, the big bars with 16 pieces/chunks, I use a piece or so per gram of material). Melt chocolate in microwave (not too long! only takes about 20 seconds or so) and then simply combine mushroom material and chocolate in a section of the icecube tray, mix around gently with a knife or toothpick so all the dust is trapped in chocolate, mold it down with your fingers into a nice block then just place in the fridge until hardened, remove, and eat...deliciously psychedelic.
Why add more content to your stomach that needs to be digested, increasing the length of absorption, reducing the strength of the trip? The opposite should be done; the plant matter already present in mushrooms should be REDUCED. Ideally by grinding them up finely, then soaking them in pure lemon juice for 20 minutes, causing them to dissolve a little, then you eat the whole lemon juice/mushroom concoction with a spoon.
Most shrooms don't taste bad at all, especially if you like taste of mushrooms in generally. Fresh are even better. And shroom-chocolate is delicious.
I usually have them in a tea, but if I have to eat them the good old pizza, pita bread or slice of bread does it for me.
I'd say this is good advice. Last time I did them with lemonade. Still hard to get down but not way hard. lol
I feel like this might be a bit extreme for mushrooms. I imagine doing this might create some noticeable effects, but not more than taking another half gram of shrooms or something. I would say currently most people who are mushroom lovers either have a good connect they can egt them cheap from or they grow themselves. I'd rather just take another bit of shrooms than make myself gag with some kind of lemon-mushroom mess. That is just me though.
