Hey I'm about to get a lot of LSD and MDMA. I'm not sure if I should take the LSD. The reason is because in spring 2010 I took amphetamine and smoked cannabis for everyday from March to June. Starting in April I would smoke and get panic attacks. This eventually changed by the time August rolled around and instead I was getting delusions or fake memories (or they were just extremely terrible memories I was dissociating still cant determine). The last time I tried smoke cannabis was the end of June 2011 and I still get these delusions. My Hallucinogen track record is Mescaline like 3 times in Winter-Spring 2010 (not on amphetamines). DMT in May 2010 that didn't works cause I didn't smoke enough. Then LSD in the end of July 2010 that was a pretty good trip considering I was on antipsychotics at the time. I've never taken MDMA before because I was always on an a SSRI or SNRI. I last took an SNRI at the end of June 2011. This is the first time I've been off all psychiatric meds since like 2006. I'm pretty sure I'll be alright with the MDMA, but what about the acid? Do you think it will cause me problems if cannabis is causing me problems? I've never had a bad trip before. I took acid whilst cannabis was making me feel bad, but I was on an antipsychotic. Any suggestions? I feel like I really need to trip so I can get myself to stop doing heroin. I figure it could do this because mescaline convinced my to go back to college.
Well, if you're really going to do them then I would have to say take the mdma first, get a good lot of energy out. Then take the LSD when the come down begins. Make sure you get a good set and setting, of course. You may have to go home or whatever before taking the acid. I say this because you sound like you're looking for insight and I feel it would benefit you more. You already know what you have to do, though, you don't need drugs to tell you anything you don't already know.
I think taking LSD during the comedown of MDMA, which is one of the worst comedowns of any drug and is quite invariably irritating and depressing, is a very bad idea. LSD will magnify all those emotions. I've never done this combo so I'm just forecasting. OP: Cannabis causes delusional behavior by messing with your dopamine system. LSD also messes with your dopamine system, x 100000. I don't know if it's the thing for you. All we can say is "be careful".
Wow, that's quite a fascinating history there- may i ask if you've ever been diagnosed with anything? There's another poster on the board who has struggled with marijuana but has had positive experiences with different psychedelics, which is wild since they are all technically in the hallucinogen family- like Mr. Writer I'd be a little concerned about the Molly, or the candyflip combo whenever their is and unresolved brain chemistry perhaps involved- but thank god you have obviously been doing a lot of research, such as getting yourself off SNRI/SSRIs before taking Molly- that says you are really on the ball- do you know at all if you are seizure prone? Do you know your reaction to amphetamines or uppers?
Yeah I've never had seizures before and I've snorted wellbutrin haha. I did crack in January 2011 and it was terrible I almost had a panic attack but I was able to keep it off. Also I did powder cocaine in May 2011 and it was alright I felt good but I only did small amounts at a time. Aside from that I haven't really done any major stimulants outside of my regular caffeine and cigarettes. I would really just like to know if having a bad reaction to cannabis means you will have a bad reaction to hallucinogens. I realize that cannabis is a mild hallucinogen but it is also many things as well.
I'm not sure if SeverineComplex was referring to me but I don't smoke weed anymore because of getting pretty significant anxiety and paranoia from it but LSD and MDMA are my two favorite drugs. I'm not sure if you are aware but MDMA is considered an amphetamine, although it usually produces markedely different effects than most other amphetamines and stimulants. It seems that you have somewhat similar reactions to me to drugs so I'd say both are totally ok to use and they both primarily target different brain receptors than cannabis so just because you have bad reactions to cannabis doesn't necessarily mean you will have bad reactions to hallucinogens as well.
I've gotten panic attacks on Marijuana a dozen times, but I've never experienced any panic attacks on Hallucinogens, or while sober. Mindset and setting are very important things to consider before using psychedelics. Hallucinogens and marijuana are both psychedelics. I believe most semi-educated trippers plan to have a good 24hours to ride out a trip and after effects with out having to worry about sobering up for work or talking to authority/family. But when it come to marijuana its more of an anytime thing for most people, with little thought to mindset, setting, or allowing time for a proper comedown. 99% of the time this is fine, but once in a while marijuana will bite you in the ass. All of my panic attacks on marijuana came from having a negative mind set or not allowing enough time for a proper comedown before having to interact with authority. So to answer you question, I dont necessarily think that just because you have had panic attacks on marijuana, that you will have them on hallucinogens. The key is to not treat them like the average person treats marijuana. Psychedelics command respect.
It's a shot in the dark using lsd to get of heroin. More like russian roulette. Only you and your approved higher power can get you off heroin. And maybe some methadone.
