Well, Christians are to be no part of this world and are not to serve two masters.
Prove? No but it does mean that there is strong reason to question whether it is weak and not accurate.
Discarded? I've have never said that and in fact have said the truth can be found in it. But the truth is that, no matter what the reason, the KJV is just not a very good translation.
No, the fact that they added spurious Scriptures that have an agenda does show that.
God has for a time put up with much that mankind does that is objectionable to him but that will be shortly come to an end.
Just because many like the language of the KJV because of its poetic and familiar sounding language, that does not make the KJV strong, right, divinely inspired or accurate.
I'm not sure which modern translations you are talking about but of the ones I've looked at do not water down the fact that; Jesus Christ is the God's only begotten Son, that he is true sovereign King of Kings, Lord of Lords; it takes no shame, nor waters down the fact that Jesus is the only way and truth in life.

There have been innumerable Kings and Queens in history that felt absolutely no responsibility for upholding God's laws or adhering to them and ruled for many years, history is filled with such ones.
Of course it's not seen today, it wasn't seen much in the past either, even amongst the Kings in Israel who truly did have the responsibility of upholding God's laws.
Yes there is but what would you expect in the last days.
    How true.

Woe to those who are saying that good is bad and bad is good, those who are putting darkness for light and light for darkness, those who are putting bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)(Proverbs 17:15; Malachi 2:17)

And that is the big problem, all Christians are to be brothers and should only be dedicated to God and Jesus and not to some earthly King.
The fact is it is just not a very good translation.
Yes for a very good reason, it is just not a very good translation.
All translations hold up even under the gun of the most blasphemous attacks by 'scholars' and others trying to fit Satanic principles into the word of God, even a poor translation like the KJV.

    You are welcome.

What the dedication shows is that the translators of the KJV were filled with awe for King James and at best God was an after thought.

You just don't know the history of the Bible in English very well. Yes, the Vatican has shown resistance to the Bible being translated into the common language of the people. But when it comes to why we have a Bible in the English language your knowledge comes up short. There were at least 6 translation before the KJV and many since and so I would suggest that we would have the Bible, in English, even without the KJV.

Yes, the KJV is the word of God but the KJV makes it harder than necessary for honest hearted seekers to find the truth, unlike many modern translations, also the Word of God, that make it easier.
    Yes we do.
The King James Version was translated from Erasmus' printed Greek New Testament which made use of only five Greek manuscripts the oldest of which dated to the 1,100 A.D. These manuscripts were examples of the Byzantine text-type.

The NASV and the NIV make use of the United Bible Societies 4th Edition 1968 of the New Testament. This edition of the Greek New Testament relies more heavily on the Alexandrian text-type while making use of all 5,664 Greek manuscripts. The reasons that the NASV and NIV find the Alexandrian text-type more reliable are the following:

This text-type uses manuscripts date from 175-350 A.D. which includes most of the papyri, Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus.

The church fathers from 97-350 A.D. used this text-type when they quoted the New Testament.

The early translations of the New Testament used the Alexandrian text-type.

It seems pretty clear to me, it is you that appears to be having a problem.

Well as I have pointed out, it is different, so are you going to stop using the KJV?

In the name of Jehovah God and his Son Jesus, the taking in knowledge of, means everlasting life. (John 17:3)

OlderWaterBrother how is the KJB a bad translation ? There is no book, no person, no institution, etc. that can overcome the Authorized King James Bible.

-Alexandrian Texts. Research how poisonous they are to true Christianity. And Weston and Hort.

You are a Christian. Make no mistake that the many "professed Christians" are not. There is massive deception in today's Chruch.

Maybe me, you and OWB are a Trinity of fellowship that like to talk about our faith -though we disagree A LOT ? lol (I'm careful not to say blasphemies against the Holy Trinity).

Also what is your final authority ?

    is it
    1. Your Church
    2. Your bible
    3. Your human reasoning
    4. or your experience
    ?

Please regard carefully. Your current temporary biological frame of existence began at conception. This is the practical reality of your current situation, not the theoretical, theological potential of your situation, but the practical reality of your causation in this world of condition. From your point of biological conception, your entire experience of the world is factored on a series of premises or ideas about the world. They form the framework through which you compare and pattern response to various stimuli. In other words, every thing you see in this world is first, an idea. God said let there be light, the first act of creation. Light is mind or consciousness, awareness, motive. Everything is conceived first in that constant value of light. Every creature or artifact is endowed with it's share of light. Mans light for example is in the likeness and image of god, Creative of nature. We create temporary conditions for ourselves through our capacity to "name the animals". The world we see and understand on a daily basis is bound on all sides by our descriptions of it. "By his words a man is justified", that is the just total or the bottom line of his life is metered by his own measure, his own way of framing things, of calling them out into the world.

Please regard with care, Verily I say to you if you believe and do not doubt you can cause a mountain to raise itself up and throw itself into the sea.
In addition, what ever you ask in his name shall be done for you. If you want there to be a Satan, then insist that it is so. If you want an end to "Satan", ask for it. You have not because you ask not.

I tell you your view of the world is as solid as a rock and you may break your head on that rock, but it is a world that does not exist where I exist. I am vigilant only for god and his kingdom and whatever is loosed on earth is also loosed in heaven. "Heaven and "earth" in this instance are diametrically opposed perceptions of the same phenomena. The measure you give is the measure you get.

If you think your measure is determined in advance, by apocalyptic forces, then you have nothing at all to add.

You are telling me, believe as I do, or get shmucked. I am telling you that a place is prepared for me at the table already. I am telling you how to manifest on earth as it is in heaven. I am giving you practical advice about developing permanence of being.

God created the world and saw that it was good. God created man in his own likeness and image and saw that it was very good. The world is not wicked and I would bet that you would insist that it is. By his words a man is justified and the measure you give is the measure you get, pressed down, overflowing. My prayer is thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

That is not even good, non the less, great theater. The thing that will waste your soul is not an evil spirit but an undisciplined mind.

If the measure you give is the measure you get, then the only thing that can be absent is what you have not given. If you think I have a problem then the problem is with your thinking. If you had asked the father for healing in any instance, it is already accomplished. What god gives is truly given.
It is very good then that my salvation does not depend on your serious doubt but that I do the will of my father in heaven.
I am not a body, I am free.

He that is against me is not for me.

When God said let there be light, he meant, let there be LIGHT. As in literal light. He is the light, he also created light, gave us light (the sun).

    -Genesis 1:3-
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Yes we are born, yes we think. Yes we form ideas and base ideas off of what we see and perceive. I agree with you on what you said in the opener. However, this does not take away God and his Word and his Godhead reality. You are taking the Genesis account and bending it into philosophical branches to support your wordily wisdom, friend thedope. Are you implying that when God created light that he created consciousness, awareness and motive ? No, that is when he created man on the sixth day, five days later. Man was created sinless and perfect...until the fall of man. By one man sin entered the world and by one man came death.

The word light in English, when talking about Genesis, it means the actual LIGHT or the SOURCE of it. It depends on how the word is used. The Hebrew language had different words for light for each meaning of it. I could say give me the light (flashlight), and then use the light to light up an area (the actual light). But in English we have one word that means different things biased on the context used, as clearly shown above.

Wrong. This is how YOU create temporary conditions for YOURSELF. You create your own god and your own reality biased on your capacity to do so. It however, is not the truth. Also are you implying that man made up God ? Yes it is true that we have free will and intelligent capacity to do things and think abstractly. This however takes nothing away from God and truth. Directed by wickedness and sin of the unrighteous, this capacity can be dangerous and foolish in the minds of Heathens.

You show little understanding of who the real God is and what he wants from us. You are simply a fool scoffer. You are trying to make a straw man out of Jesus's words to knock them down in your unbelief and foolish conceit. You can not stump the words of Jesus or the words of God with your intellect. It is not humanly possible. You are right, faith is STRONG and Jesus was telling his Apostles the power of faith. Faith is not a magic wand. I can not wave it around and become Satan or inhuman or superhuman; faith will not allow evil. Faith is good and all good things work themselves from God. Though many are Satan followers today whether they know it or not.

The verse you are referring to about moving mountains by faith is in the book of Matthew 17:20

His apostles saw all the things Jesus was doing, all his great signs. Before Jesus was casting out Devils and healing. They asked him, "Why could not we cast him out?"

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

He was saying that with your faith you will have all you need. Which is true.

Bad analogy coming from a person who is ignorant in their wordily humanist views. This is completely wrong. You exist on Earth. Heaven is where you will not be going when you die unless you wake up. Hell is a threat to you and all, including me. It is Satan's plan to ruin us all to hell and kill off humanity. I pray you wake up and stop lusting after your pride in man made wisdom. Your posts reads foolish and it truly is. This above statement clearly tells me your lack of understating about the true reality of our living God and his words. I suggest calling on Jesus into your heart so you can make proper sense of this world and of what is to become of you. I am not smarter than you, or better than you. I deserve hell too; for all come short of the Glory of God. Though I believe in truth, love it and have unshakable faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. I am against error and living for Jesus has given me great insight.

A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself
    -Proverbs 18:2

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
    -Proverbs 1:7

When you say apocalyptic forces, what do you mean ? I think you may be referring to the Book Revelation ? This book simply tells us what to expect and shows the signs of Christs second coming. I take great comfort in this book. It tells us what must take place. The hour draweth nigh. Nothing to add ? What, in your view, does one have to offer ? Is it wordily knowledge, materialism ? Be clear, for you are of the world view.

All our measure is known in all time, past, present, future by God. He is already in yesterday and tomorrow at once.

But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered
    -Luke 12:7

Jesus is telling you that the gate to hell is WIDE and the path to heaven is narrow. You had best want to keep his commandments and call on him to save you and free you from your wordily captivity. From the bondage of lies and sin, from the prison of your mind. He will free you from the suffering of this wicked generation, waxing more cold by the day. Nothing I am saying to you is MY PERSONAL WISDOM. It is the wisdom of God and truth. I cannot condemn you. Our Lord does all the judging.

    The strait and wide gates
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life and few there be that find it.
    -Matthew 7:13

    The wise and foolish builders

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it
    -Matthew 7:34-27

You have no clue that anything is prepared for you. Well, I take that back your 'table' is either prepared for you in Hell or hopefully Heaven. Have you faced your judgment yet ? How can you profess to know these things ? Do you fear that day or revere it in foolish conceit ? Are you preparing for that fearful day ? You are sputtering humanist wisdom and I'm sure you are not aware of it- this is the result of indoctrination. You have been brain washed by wordily mantra. We all have since birth. I am deprogramming myself and urge you to do as well. You sound like a spokesman, mouth piece.

The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
    -Proverbs 15:14

You are giving me very foolish advice, taken from the pride of your wordily knowledge. Developing permanence of being ? If I were to listen to you I would be going directly to hell.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
    -Romans 12:2-3

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
    -John 14:1-4

The world is not wicked ? How can you say that ? Look around you at our sinful nature. Look at the hurt, the immoral running of governments, the greed of power, the love of money the wars resulting from lusts. I could go on and on. Did you not say you have read the bible since 1969 under the guiding of the Holy Ghost. Yea, sure!

All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. That is the true God, and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
    - I John 5:17-21

LOL sure dude. You are way off from truth. What exist in your mind is not helping you.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the Truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
    -II Thessalonians 2: 11-12

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind
    - II Timothy 1:7

One is not saved by works. No measure you give will save you. But the measure you will receive depends on if you do the will of the One and True Living God, through his Son Jesus Christ. I think you have a serious problem concerning reality and truth. It's not on me, or is my thinking the cause of your dire problem! Humble yourself!

Your salvation depends on you alone whether you trust in Jesus Christ and belive in him. Not me. Correct. Take Jesus's gift of salvation and truly live life wise and more abundantly. Don't listen to the many, many, MANY false teachers and prophets out there. Draw a line, enough is enough. For by one man came sin and by one man came death into the world. The world has been changed forever that day in the Garden of Eden. Decay. Continual decay in EVERYTHING you can imagine. Name it.

You are not free unless you live for and through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You are right. He that is against you is not for you! I am for you. I was not kidding when I said I love you like a brother. I wish no man is kept from the Truth.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
    -II Timothy 3:16-17

Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me.
    -John 14:6

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in truth
    -John 4:24

The only person against you and the world is Satan!

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
    -John 10:10

The best way to expose darkness is to shine the light of God's Word upon it.

You are the one that keeps saying that one who is deceived is blinded to the truth and only way that someone can come out of deception is if they really love the truth, so why do you appear to be blinded to the truth that I have told you several times, that the KJV mistranslates the tetragrammaton over 6000 times. That is just a fact and a translation that purposefully mistranslates a word over 6000 times is a bad translation, if not a translation that is attempting to conceal the truth.

    1) Yes, there have been Christians, but any such as you describe seem to be hidden from the historical record for centuries. If Christ said the Church would be visible, where were they? Why were they not witnessing? Why were the only vivible Christians Catholics?

    2) The perfect Bible is not even the manuscripts from which the AJKV was translated? The perfect Bible is not even the original manuscripts? Why would God let his beleivers suffer for 1600 years without the perfect Bible?

    3) What it means to me is that continually throughout the ages our priests and bishops have been ordained and consecrated as such by the authority of the apostles, continually handed down from the very 12 spoken about in Scripture. There as a time when bishops were voted by a diocese, but they were stil consecrated into office by another.

    4) A bishop is an office given to an ordained priest and is responsible for teaching and ruling for a diocese. One becomes a bioshop by being consecrated as such by another bishop or the Pope (himself only a bishop).
One can become a disciple by merely readig the word and trying to follow in Christ's footsteps (disciple meaning student or learner). An apostle is someone who is sent forth to spread the news. In a way every Catholic is an apostle because at the end of the Mass we are sent in peace to spread the news nourished by God's Word and Body. An Apostle (deliberate capital A) were the 11 plus Mattias whom Christ left. He called 12 men to himself in a place of dignity to lead his Church, Peter being first amongst them.

    5) the final authority of God. The trouble there is God rarely booms down like he did with Moses and the Hebrews. Therefore, we must have a proxy authority. God's Word is certainly the measure of our faith, and nothing we believe can contradict it, however John writes that not all is written in Scripture, but only enough so that we may beleive (but not everything that is true). Capital T Tradition are those teaching shanded down orally from the Apostles. You could almost consider Trinity a Tradition because it is very difficult to prove from the text itself, hence why you get folks denying it. A lower case T tradition would be the vestments a priest wears. They could change tomorrow as they are nnot doctrine or dogma. Lower case t traditions being made into law or doctrine are what Jesus does not like.

Speaking of Scripture, yours is deciffient because it leaves out numerous books form the Old Testmanet.

Help me understand this. How does the AVKJB mistranslate the tetragrammaton over 6,000 times ? How is it purposeful and intentional ? Can you please back this up with more insights and explanations. I don't care if you copy and paste from other sources. I just need clarification. Please help me.

In short, what camp are you getting your disinformation from ?

The tetragrammaton is found in the original language manuscripts over 6000 times and that is just a fact, check it for yourself.

Now there are a couple of places where the KJV does use a form of the divine name that is accepted in English, Jehovah. (Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18; Isaiah 12:2; 26:4)

But in in the other some 6000 times the tetragrammaton is found, rather than continuing to translate it as Jehovah, the translators decided to use the word LORD in all caps instead. Didn't you ever wonder why the word Lord, sometimes looks like this LORD and sometimes like this Lord. Check out Psalm 110:1 in your KJV. :)

I get my disinformation from the KJV, where do you get your disinformation from?

Acts 8:37 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. It's deletion makes one think that people can be baptized and saved without believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Sounds Catholic. What are you NIV readers missing?
"And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

Acts 15:34 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still."

Acts 24:7 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,"

Acts 28:29 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves."

Romans 16:24 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."

I John 5:7 -- Vitally important phrase COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. In the NIV it says,
"For there are three that testify:"
Compare the NIV reading with the following Jehovah's Witness reading--
"For there are three witness bearers,"
What are you NIV readers missing? What does the real Bible say?
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
This is one of the GREATEST verses testifying of the trinity. That is why the Jehovah's Witnesses leave it out. They do not believe in the trinity and they do not believe that Jesus is God. Why does the NIV leave it out...? Whole books have been written on the manuscript evidence that supports inclusion of this verse in the Bible. Olderwaterbrother, do you believe in the triunity of God? If so, then this deletion should offend you. People are wresting and perverting the scriptures to their own destruction.

    ...there is one God, and one (not the pope, or a preist or anyother heathen gentile)mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

    -I Timothy 2:5-6

    1. where is purgatory found in bible doctrine ?

    2. Where is the 7 sacrements found in bible doctrine?

    3. Is your commitment to Jesus Christ/God or to the Pope?

Jesus is the ONLY WAY to Heaven.

If Jesus himself ever said that, I bet you he thought better of it afterwards! : D

Everyone is a way to "heaven" by my rule ( which is more flexible than is imagined by all cross-bearers ), but I cannot help the pickiness of human personality! I want it to help itself! I have a lot of laughter in me! lol

Christians go to 'Christ' out of pity despite what they think - for they humble what they think before belief! That is my grief for them. Their love, whilst being able to stream through tears, does not seem to want to burst with mirth on the subject of God.

I didn't come to teach, but to create! The highest does not want your commitment to it! lol

Those who have ears, let him hear...

Jesus saith unto Nicodemus a Pharisee:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the World to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemmed: but he that believeth not is condemmed already, beacuse he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
    -John 3:16-21

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me ye should have known my Father also; and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
    -John 14:6-7

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
    -I Timothy 2:5-6

You profess the Humanist propaganda. You have, all have, been indoctrinated under this slime since birth. We will not get to heaven under our own terms. Man is not the center of the universe or in line to beome higher beings.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools
    -Romans 1:22

Let no man decieve himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, the Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. Therefore let no man glory in men...And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
    -I Corinthians 3:18-23

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father, and the Son.
    -II John 1:7-9

People go to Christ out of the love of Truth and for salvation that we might become Children of God, to sanctify our Souls and enter in His most high Kingdom. Jesus loves us SO MUCH. You will be very sorry if you reject him. I beseech ye to not be deceived by the world.

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
    -Romans 5:6-11

    Amen.

Dejavu, it is foolish to deny Jesus Christ and God.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them. For God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
    -Romans 1:20

I don't explain it, I don't have to, because I don't defend any translation as being the one perfect translation like you do.
It is an issue and no I am not making a mountain out of a mole hill.

That is true and they are just following the bad example of the KJV.
He who? Are you trying to say; the Lord is our Lord? Are you actually blinded to the fact that doesn't make sense? Ask yourself, why is someone trying to hide from you the fact the scriptures don't say the Lord is Lord but that Jehovah is Lord?

Yes he is our Lord but that does not make Lord a correct translation for the proper name of God. [IMG]

Like I said I'm getting it from the KJV. Why, where are you getting yours from?

    Interestingly you just said
So that means 1 Tim. 2:5-6 is either saying:

there is one mediator between God and men and that is God
    or
there is one mediator between Jesus and men and that is Jesus

Neither of which makes much sense but then there is a lot nonsense that passes for religion now a days. [IMG]
