Would anybody body give you one? Has anybody given you one? How many do you have. What kind of credit limit do you have? Do you have a high balance? Have you received any cool rewards from your card? I only ask because I went through my cards yesterday and eliminated one. Currently, I have three credit cards. I never have had credit card debt up until a year ago, when I accrued about 3k of debt due to not working so much. I hope to have it completely paid off in the next month or two. I think I have a combined total of 15k in credit. I've made $500 off selling some miles, but I haven't actually redeemed any of my points/miles for myself. Your turn.
never had one...Probably never gonna have one either, with my luck ill get into a some serious financial trouble and end up in jail
no, no one would give me any credit cards. I used to have one, kept up the payments, then cancelled it. but I have about 12k in medical debt and I'm about to marry into about 20k more debt. i'm not paying it, I just know I cant get a credit card and I'm a renter for life
I took a class on interest rates for my degree, I promptly paid of and cancelled all of my creit cards after it. If you understood compound interest, you would never get a credit card or a mortgage. You will be paying for years and only pay the interest. A 30 year mortgage at 5% APR is actually 150% interest. I believe that credit cards charge a much higher rate of interest than 5%, more like 12-25%, if you pay the minimum and always carry a balance you can easily pay +500% interest.
no, i always have to steal them. actually, i don't have one, but i'm sure i could get one if i wanted it.
I've been in debt with them. And I'm sure I'd get another one since I have good credit...but I won't unless they offer some amazing rewards, which is rare these days it seems...
I had credit car debt for two years while ago and it was very hard to get out of and it wasn't a great deal of money. They are a trap no matter how you look at it and not everyone can get out soon enough. They keep you from allowing yourself to save for anything, a continuous spiral of beating the interest. Credit cards are a prime example of why so many countries are in a financial mess right now. I currently don't have one but part of me wants to get one for emergency. If i'm driving home from a weekend adventure 500 miles away and one of my tires pops and i don't have the money to get home thats a time when id want one. Though i choose to take the risk not ever needing one for any purpose. Last six years i think it is i've had no problems so i just continue to do what i do. 'knock on wood' ...
i refuse to use credit. i have a debit card that i use in stores when i shop in real life (when i haven't withdrawn cash from an atm machine to do so with instead). i don't buy things over the net either. my wife, when she was alive, had several, and bought a few things over the net with them. but all those accounts are long since closed. as is the one my wife had jointly with my mother, who also passed away. the use of credit is not free, and the cost of doing so is a pain in the ass. i've been offered credit many times. some of them undoubtedly bogus, but at least a few of them most likely not.
i have 1 CC, with $500 limit. easy to use, easy to pay off. use it for online purchases as my debit card number had been stolen online before and that was a pain in the ass to sort out....better protection with the CC
Wow. So compound interest, what is meant by that term? It is interest comprised of smaller amonts of interest?
I don't have a credit card at all. I don't think I have any credit period. No idea what my credit score is, but I did pay back one loan with every payment on time and finished it off early, but the loan wasn't in my name, so it didn't help me any, lol.
Credit cards are fucking evil. I hate mine but cant give it up. Might need it for emergency. I don't think you can get a hotel room or rent a car w/out one? Or get a plane ticket. I've always asumed a C ws needed for those things. There are lots of little houses and properties going for $2000 to $6000 around here. I couldnt believe it till my sons mom showed me from searches on the net. You might have to get a fixer upper. Think about not having to pay rent each month. You could invest it in fixing up something that's your own. Save up and buy.
I could do it if I put my mind in to it. Or my back into it, ass into it... whatever... I actually just came across the home I grew up in at a price I could scrounge together in a year. super weird. I like renting. If I could have a yard I'd be all set. Big electricity bills blow. Small apts. can pay off sometimes.
This should be all the proof you need to see that banks control the government. Imagine if you had the power to privately issue a currency and then choose three multi-trillion dollar a year industries that would only accept your currency (and your currency alone), with the understanding that you would receive a percentage of every transaction these industries accept. That is exactly what credit card companies get away with every day. It's the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on mankind. Credit Cards are indeed evil incarnate.
the cashiers at my work always try and get me to sign up for one of the stores credit cards but i just tell them to suck my shaft and ask someone else
1, $3000 credit limit, no balance, I pay it off every month. My credit's still bad though. But you should all lend me some money anyway.
Oooh I hate credit cards so much, never needed one myself but it makes me mad that stupid people in a supermarket line use them which takes more time than paying cash and than they give free information forever and for everybody of what they consume, how much and when. They are the mark of the beast controlling people.
Hello, that's true and an important topic. But I would perhaps prefer to give some companies information about the hotels I booked over having our elected government, resp. the forces our constitution has defined to assist them, spy on me, record my communication behaviour or letting them decide what content I should cosume (beside that content that is clearly illegal by consensus and law). Regards Gyro
