Hi everyone I'm new here and made an account just for this. I just took The yellow kind of Tussionex suspension (The one that is really thick). I took 3 teaspoons and was just wondering if I did right by this? Thanks all and I really wish my mother hadn't of run out of Hydromet (unless this stuff is better of course).

oh and btw I'm going tp try to get my gf to buy me robitussin and I know that it is safe (in terms of not having any other ingridients besides the main one) and I tried to do the math for it but wanted a second review. I weigh 185 pounds so is three-four teaspoons a good dose? thanks. the tussionex is pretty good lol.

Don't ruin the tuss with the nasty ass robo trip. Do yourself a favor and take it as it comes.

The yellow syrup tussionex can definately fuck you up :drool5:
I've got some good memories with it lol

As far as whether 3 teaspoons is the right dose for you though depends entirely on you. Tussionex is a combination of hydrocodone(an opiate) and an antihistamine chlorpheniramine. The antihistamine will potentiate the opiate and after that it is up to your opiate tolerance. Do you do opiates much? If you don't do them very often or not at all I'd say that three teaspoons would be a very good dose for you, and you probably shouldnt do anymore. And, remember that it's called sipping syrup for a reason, so take it slow. I've seen people drink a little and then get impatient when it didn't kick in, so they just chugged a bunch. It didn't turn out well. I had to carry one of my friends down three flights of stairs because of behavior like this.

So basically, when you have syrup, take it slow, especially if you aren't used to opiates. Other than that have fun leaning.

Don't drink robitussin with lean, I mean to each his own, but why mess up such a perfect high? Be content with what you have, because what you have is pretty awesome.

Shit, when I had Tussionex, I drank the whole bottle. It's extrended release, so it won't hit you as hard. If I were you, I'd drink at least 40ml, which is 80mg of hydrocodone, but that's only if you don't have an opiate tolerance. If you have a tolerance, then drink 60-100ml.

Thanks for the help so far guys. :) i'm going to try that tussionex tonight when my parents leave for a friends house. And as for the robitussin, I meant I was going to get some later this weekend for something that My parents don't know I have. (So they won't be in the medicine cabinet and see that certain meds are getting lower.)

What kind of cough do you have? Is it dry cough? Bringing up mucus? There are a number of considerations to selecting the right medicine. See your local pharmacist for more details.

So I just took about two tablespoons worth (a little over) of tussionex. Would it be a good idea to take a little (recommended amount) of Robitussin with it?

The hydrocodone is already potentiated by the chlorpheniramine, which is an antihistamine like dph. I would NEVER ruin Tussionex by mixing it with anything other than weed. It's perfect, as is.

Right, I don't understand all these calls for adding nasty shit like dxm and dph into the mix. It's fucking tussionex, just drink it and be satisfied with what you have.

That's like saying, I just took two hits of some good blotter, should I snort some adderal to get me going more?

Indeed. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Even the TASTE is perfection. It tastes like liquid candy:drool5:

    It does indeed :drool5:

Honestly I wouldn't mind a little Pneumonia or some sort of bad cough if I got some tussionex for it. I'd go through the bottle in a day.
Makes me feel all warm just thinking about it :sunny:

Hi- For the past few years, I've had an intermittent cough that only Tussionex (or Hydrocodone) has worked for (and I have tried a dozen or more other cough suppressants). However, lately, my doctor has become too freaked to continue writing for this medication, no doubt due to all of the abuses.

I'm just wondering if you might know where or how I can find this medication that I need when my cough wakes me up all night? I am not sure what to do when medical doctors are becoming such wusses that they deny legitimate cases!!!??? :juggle:

Any ideas for me ? Thanks much! :sunny:

Hi- Do you have any idea where I can obtain this medication (Tussionex/Hydrocodone)? After 3 years of writing a few times per year for it, my doctors have become too scaredy-cat to continue refilling it for me. I legitimately need it several times per year due to a dry cough that keeps me up all night long, when it hits.

I'm getting a little tired of the lock-down on Rx's due to the abuses of them, since those who really need them are now getting denied help, and the ones abusing them just find new ways to do it anyway!!

    Any ideas? -THaNX! :mickey:
