I just got itunes recently too and even though I don't buy music there, I use it to organize my tunes. I buy apps though and I love how it's like a little laptop. I feel like everyhting is at my fingertips. and facetime is so nifty!
When i was a kid with my first walkman i would have never thought that later in life the same size piece of plastic would be holding 7,000 songs in better quality with enough space to hold another 15k.
no shit! my dad put all his records on mp3s. so a whole room of music fits in his pocket thats like 23 days of music in his pocket. crazy !
I bought an iPad last Fall when I started Grad School. It was probably the best purchase I have ever made other than my bass guitars (which are priceless to me). I always joked at Apple Product nerds, but the iPad really is useful in many ways. I am a musician, so having my Music Library complete with album covers and data, at my fingertips is vital. Also, I have an app called "iReal Book" which shows the correct Chord Charts for over 1500 jazz standards (the Real Book costs over 40 dollars in paper) and has the capacity to actually play the chords with drums and a bassline! It only cost me like $4.99 but is worth probably $100 IMO. I am also a teacher (of mathematics at grad school), so having the Note Taker app allows me to write notes on the iPad WITH my finger (no stylus needed), that are shrunk down onto a digital piece of paper. It is amazing. Of course, I can take notes in my classes with it too, without needing to waste 1000s of pieces of paper, as a mathematician usually does.
