First show I saw was Kiss when they were doing the psycho circus tour. I was 8 years old at the time, and not one person could tell me back then KISS sucked ass. I remember being entirely satisfied afterwards.

Voodoo Experience in NOLA. I waited in the sun for 11 hours to see Nine Inch Nails from the front row. Worth every minute of it.

Alice Cooper "Billion Dollar Babies" with Flo & Eddie on May 11, 1973 at the Forum in Inglewood CA USA.

I have kept most of my concert ticket stubs; and dug that one out of the little box I keep them in. The odd thing is, the ticket clearly shows May 11; but when I look up Alice Cooper's concert history, several sites show a May 10 show at that location; but no shows on May 11. Not sure the deal on that...

    Price of admission $4.50 hehe

First show was in 7th or 8th grade. It was some local bands. Amadan, Blackout Radio, and an acoustic set from the singer of My Life in Black and White. I remember going up and talking to some of the guys who played after the show and shaking their hands, then getting a free shirt from the bassist of Blackout Radio. That was fucking inspiring shit.

First big show was Thursday, Bring Me The Horizon, Pierce The Veil, Four Year Strong, and Cancer Bats. Pretty much a scene/emo show, but I was going for Thursday who kick ass. I moshed for the first time at that one!

First festival was Warped Tour '09. It was fun but my girlfriend at the time had some fucking issues and was kind of a downer.

Back in the late sixties, like 65 on, there was a teen age nightclub in my area called The Red Rooster. You couldn't get in if you were to old, like over 18 or something. They used to get great shows, like Ike and Tina Turner, The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Simon & Garfunkel, Little Anthony, Lou Christy, Junior Walker, Tommy James, Mitch Ryder, Sam the Sham, Sonny and Cher, The Jackson 5, Question Mark and the Mysterians, The Turtles, Peaches and Herb, and many others.

This was every Saturday night and it cost....one dollar! Thousand of kids would show up. Sometimes it was so crowded they would grab your dollar through a ticket window and throw it on the floor behind them cuz they didn't have time to stash it away. Then they'd check your breath for booze and let you in.

Now I know I saw many of these shows, but dam if I can remember which ones. Great times!!

Elton John (Goodbye Yellow Brick Road tour)
Oct. 9th, 1974, San Diego Sports arena

    first "festival" type show
    was at Anaheim Stadium, ca.
    Summer of '76 (?)
    in order of appearance
Gary Wright (one hit wonder Dreamweaver)
Gentle Giant (when they took the stage everyone was like "Who Da Fuck are these guys?" when the left they got a standing ovation. :D)
    Peter Frampton
    and finally
    Yes

    'Twas an awesome show.
One memory that stands out was waiting in line out in the parking lot and some guy high as kite was walking up and down the line with a gallon of Orange juice.
    He was shouting;
"Alcohol, cannabinol, LSD, PCP, add a little, take a little!"
so brave fools would take a slug off the jug then they had to put something in.
Saw two guys take a drink, one added Southern Comfort, the other a few hits of acid.
    I wasn't that brave.

I love Gentle Giant, I have their first 3 albums on vinyl. Intense King Crimson like Prog with Beach boys harmonies and Frank Zappa Horn lines. They're bloody brilliant! You're so very lucky to have seen them live, they didn't play a lot in the states in the early years.

I think that show at Anaheim Stadium was called Summer Jam?
