I was diagnosed August of 2010 with Lyme, rec'd 22 day antibiotic therapy and was told by my rhumatologist, 'That's all, your finished.' Yet when I asked about having another blood draw to "make sure" everything was ok, his response was that I would always show a presence of antibodies to Bb (I don't have a ref. for the actual spelling) spirochete. Recently I watched a doc. 'Under my Skin' which shed new light on this very prominent spirochete, bacterial infection. One was the finding that this bears similar charateristics to syphillis, also a spirochete bacteria. The prominence of this infection is extremely high (more in the north east region), all over the country. Another ? I have is why do persons diagnosed with Lyme have to report it to the State Dept of Health ? Anyone wanting to discuss...?
