You know when you hear a musician play and you can instantly recognize who it is. It's unmistakable.

For example, guitarests who have really unique/great tone. Or their "voice"/phrasing the way they play their instrument.

Post some examples of unique tone or "voice"/phrasing, of musicians you like (any instrument). You know those ones where you recognize them right away.

i'm not going to stick a vid in-their music is all over the place...Garcia. BB King. Clapton. Benny Goodman. Bob Wills. i could list a lot of great musicians.

lately, geoff peterson (the robot dummy) on craig ferguson has been doing several voices and they are a kick. he does Morgan Freeman so well, i want to look around to see Morgan's face...but it's just the robot dummy.

Mister Robert Cray, has a unique (as far as I know) staccato technique:

Slash's guitar tone, phrasing, and certain techniques make his playing extremely recognizable. A lot of people here really don't like GnR, but regardless, Slash is a guitar god.
