Support for Israel is support for war. The Palestinian government was democratically elected and extensive efforts have been made by them and administrations before to speak to Israel to reach a solution. Israel's achievements involve attacking humanitarian aid ships.

It's funny that you use theocracy against the Palestinians, considering the lengths Israel will go to materialise their fundamentalism. Surely we would prefer countries in the world with less military hardware and army to use it? I have no idea why you claim it would be another Somalia, unless you mean war will be constantly waged upon it and within it with disastrous results, which has already happened and is still happening.

You twist the concept of a Palestinian state just like the pro jewish lobby. The world recognising Palestine does not mean that they have won, it doesn't mean that the Jews are kicked out. Israelis are waking up to this fact and many of them are questioning their need for more conflict, especially as they suffer economically and the government still spends a good chunk of all the money sent to them by the USA on arming themselves. On both sides, the people are tired of this conflict and are willing to co-exist, they have all seen the error in their ways. Jews can not help where they were born and Palestinians can not help where they were born. Many don't see sense in playing the blame game on the children of the invaders, it is obvious that the government is the problem and the Israelis themselves know this.

 

Don't hate the Jews, judge each individual by how much you hate them.

What's so great about Palestine?

 

There is no Palestine - there is the region which Israel occupies, that's all. What's special about that is it did so via dubious means, roughly the same means it is trying to prevent by oppression and military control.

I have no doubt that if Israel was replaced by a state of Palestine, the same events we are seeing now would still be happening. (And yes I'm aware the goal is two states, not a replacement of one for the other.)

Yes, that's true and it leads to the underlying issue with this conflict: Why do our countries choose to only recognise Israel? This war could not have been waged if Israel stood alone, instead it seems to be backed by the whole of nato. Why do our nations stand behind the warmongerers?
