WHY HASENT ANYONE TRIED BEING A TRUE SUPER HERO YET!!!! out of the thousands of people in the world...
im honestly considering doing it just to become famous :]

im thinking about being a peaceful hippie super hero who just walks around the streets doing crazy weird funny stuff and plays instruments :] it sounds like a easy way to get famous to me!

i dont have to do anything death defying.... i was just thinking i could dress up to conseal my identity and run around town randomlly talking to people and doing trippy weird things i figure people might see me as a source of entertainment then if i do cooler things i could get noticed more and be put in newspapers and slowley become famous

Thats like the movie Kickass. You are pretty much talking about what happens in that movie, but the dude does a lot cooler of shit than go around talking to people. He kicks muggers asses! Go around doing that youll be way cooler.

Actually there is a real movement called Real Life Super Heroes. They don Costumes and have secret identities. Some actually fight crime. Other do good deeds like feed the homeless. before you recount Kick-Ass as the source. you should know that there have been people doing this for 30 years. Ordinary folks like you or I. They even have a world wide super hero registry. check it out on google if you don't believe.

of course there is always the idea that you could gain super powers by believing in your natural powers. Bali was a super hero of central africa but he wouldn't of been if he had thought he was normal his hole life.

Lots of people do things like that

Every decent size city has lots of weird looking characters who are kind of famous for wearing strange costumes and being cool/trippy/eccentric

They aren't famous because it's not that amazing

That is the exact opposite of the definition of "history", and as others have said, it's not EVEN true in this case.

No, it would be like a mime only really really lame, while mimes CAN be pretty awesome if they're good.

Your "if original and entertaining, then cool" hypothesis sounds fine, except that it assumes that this would be entertaining or original, neither of which come remotely close to describing it.

And might I add that just wearing a costume and talking to people wouldn't make you either super or a hero, just some weird dude, of which the world has plenty. Actually being a super hero would likely require more time, effort, and committment then anyone actually has. And if you ended up being good at it and not getting dead, then you'd probably have to run from the police for being a vigilante. Either that or go to the police academy and learn the dos and don't and you could do citizen's arrests in places where they were still legal. But even then you'd have all sorts of criminals suing you for brutality and assault; and the police would be asking for your identification...

So, it's a really bad idea... unless you have the talent, time, money, and commitment to perform vigilante justice outside the law and are able to escape from the authorities while keeping your identity secret. And not getting killed. That's why they're generally fiction, and called super.

I've seen the documentary on the so-called "super heroes". It didn't seem like they accomplished a whole lot. One guy managed to get a guy to stop dealing drugs (at that location for that particular night). Another group essentially tried to get people to start shit with them and then, well, I guess they'd... actually I really don't know what they planned to do. I definitely did respect the guys who went around using their own time and money feeding and giving to the poor. That was cool. I don't see why they needed costumes to do that though.

its true that one of the main reasons i feel people don't do the super hero thing more is because of the time and effort it would actually take to be one. i mean think of all the prep and physical preparing the "bad guys" do, you would have to double if not triple this.

although i think it possible and if you wanna go for it go for it man! the world needs all kinds and don't let anyone tell you other wise haha

but there is another problem i think you are gonna come across and that has already partially been addressed. its fame, you seek recognition but even if you end up doing good and saving lives your not going to get it cause the news is never going to endorse you as a "super hero". so if thats what you want you can probably give up now sorry.
