    Hello people!

I wonder if any of you guys are into macrobiotics. My interest increased in the past months for this type of diet and I have to admit the benefits are stunning, even after trying it only for a short period of time. I'm far from being an expert though and don't have much information about it, I know it's about balancing Yin and Yang energies in the body through food but would love to deepen my knowledge about it. So any information, experiences to share, tips, recipes, online ressources, etc., are very welcome. Thanks for sharing! :D

I follow traditional chinese dietary therapy, which is similar in many ways. macrobiotics was derived from this

the general idea for most people is to eat fresh, lightly cooked whole foods served warm. nothing frozen or served cold

Back in 1975, I followed macrobiotics for six months. I eventually decided that it was a crackpot theory, after reading the original book about it. My main objection was the idea that cigarettes were healthy. There were a lot of other nutty ideas, too.

Yeah, I heard a lot of things like that about the old books. I looked at some more recent information and it was more credible and serious, didn't read anything that seemed absurd.

Very interesting information, I should check that out. Thanks! :)
