i was wondering if people thought mixing drugs was best or if a single drug by itself is the best way to do it. i was thinking mixing because the combos are so great but i also really like just one drug for a certain effect. any input? :afro:
probably depends on the drug(s) you are talking about. but in general, i'd say single, in order to get the full or "real" or untainted experience. and because it's safer.
I prefer taking drugs alone. For example, I hate mixing alcohol with pretty much any drug. The same with nicotine (I have never smoked, but have used 'chaw' in the past sparingly). I think that any drug that I take deserves to be enjoyed in its own right, as each drug acts on its own set of neurotransmitters, some of them quite unlike each other. I love opioid drugs, but unlike some people who like to take benzos (downers) with them, I find that it actually decreases the euphoria of the opioid, although it does increase the 'body high.' But like I said, I like to enjoy the specific effects of opioids, which IMO are mainly mental. I find the body high secondary. The same with amphetamines. I hate mixing them with caffeine (although I do it occasionally just for the energy). Although both are stimulants, they act in very different ways. Even though I get less raw energy on amphetamines alone, I prefer that lack of 'jolt' to the feeling of the mixture, which to me is a noticeable 'competition' between the physical stimulation of the caffeine, and the mental 'super-focus' aspect of the amphetamine. And don't even get me started on psychedelic drugs. Almost any other drug significantly alters (in a negative way) the psychedelic experience of the particular drug. The only combination that I don't hate is: Dextroamphetamine + Buprenorphine. Since D-Amphetamine is a mental stimulant (not having many peripheral effects) and Buprenorphine is a relatively non-sedating opioid, I find that the combination is pretty 'solid' in its own right. It is the only combination that I regularly partake in but also enjoy.
dude that picture is awesome mr writer. i use to think smoking weed with trips was key and then i had to stop smoking and i was just tripping and at the point where i would feel the urge to smoke i would just let it pass and i felt like the trip expanded more but smoking weed and tripping DUDE you know. and everybody else about the single feeling of the one drug being focused on or muddled that just depends on why you use i suppose. i like the mind expanding drugs most but anything will mix into a good time. i vote mixing just because you cant get the mixxed effect by taking a single drug
It really depends on what drug you are talking about, some are better when mixed, others are good on their own.
If you're going to be mixing drugs, I'd advise you have a sober friend to chaperone. You can have a very meaningful trip/high when mixing though. Especially psychedelics.
Unless you know what you are doing. When Tripping I rarely mix substances, sometimes I dont even smoke weed because it changes the trip. There are exceptions to that though, 2c-p I believe goes best with a tryptamine. With pills, opiates, alcohol, If I am trying to get to that point it usually requires a mixture of things. However if you have no experience mixing these things don't do it without a sitter as stated above. Especially downers, easiest way to stop your heart that there is.
I voted single even though I mix any drug I take with MJ.. it's just standard because it's always around my group of friends, and I feel rude if I reject a freshly sparked doobie :sifone: But... I always sample any drug I take on its own at least once, just to get the feel of it and see what it's like uncontaminated. And in the past, ketamine and MDMA is actually an awesome combo - but I'll save it for festivals... How's the health risk on that one by the way, can someone shed some light on it please?
the first time i took katamine was also the first time i took pure mdma. it was at a rave in wisconsin dells. so ballin. one of my best experiences. unfortunately i have no idea about health issues. but im good :2thumbsup:
