Any harp players out there? I'm just learning. Picked up my first harmonica last week. Still trying to get my pucker down. I downloaded this great 'blues harmonica' book/cd combo and it's got great theory in it but I don't know why a beginner book would make all the first lessons take place on 2 and 2draw. It's frustrating. So I've moved on to doing easy tabbed songs that don't involve 2draw and began practicing my 2draw separately. It's improved greatly in the past few days, as I work on my pucker and diaphragmatic breathing so I'm hopeful that I can go back to the blues book soon. Any hints, tips, tricks that can help a n00b out? Any harp stories to tell?
no tips here, but thats pretty interesting. there was a guy at a local sports bar a few weeks ago who kept pulling a harmonica out of his pocket and randomly playing. made me want to learn. but i haven't taken the initiative yet. good luck. happy playing!
