Otis Redding

Today was the day he died in 1967...he was amazing...

 

Come on, everyone remembers John Lennon. Otis Redding is just as important, but not as famous...

 

Unfortunately, the only Otis Redding song I know is "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay." But, it's a great song.

 

ahh yes, i love that man....not in a i want to stick my penis in his bum sort of love, but a brotherly appreciation sort of love

 

He was a great man.
I saw this on the front page of the forums and said: "Hey! Otis Redding!"

 

Otis is one of the best (if not THEE best) soul singers.

I had a blasé attitude towards him in the past, but i've grown into him now.. I'm a big Sam Cooke fan, so anyone who idolizes him, I have time for...

So, to sum it up.. I have a great respect for the man and his music.

 

i adore old r&b, i have tons of it on vinyl. anyway, thanx for remebering otis...very cool!

 

Love the guy.. I got to know him when I was a kid.. I couldn't sleep so I turned on my alarmclockradio thingie in the middle of the night and I heard 'dock of the bay' for the first time.. was totally captured by it.
