This thread is going to be used to weaken your faith. It is for Atheists only, but all are welcome to comment and engage. I am not here to convert or to spread Atheism at all. I will set out to debunk the Religion of Creation as it is a major road block in the way of doubt, as creation, unfortunately, builds a lot of Atheists' belief in the bible.

This thread will be about truth and against error. If you want to refute a point I've made, first understand that this is my opinion. Second, you may freely refute me in a civil way. No flaming or trolling here. If you disagree please make it known and be prepared to offer your insights and why you believe so. Support with evidence.

    Be nice! Stay on TOPIC.

    Good bless.

    1. I am not here to argue
    2. I am here to weaken your belief in the bible, not to convert. Atheists only.
    3. Do not post off topic and please keep posting to a minimum. PM me if you want. Keep this place clean.

Can someone have negative faith in the bible because I'm currently at ZERO?
FAITH is a bad word to me.

As I remember the faith for the atheist was the faith spewing from BAD conscience, in short bad faith. SO all of you non-believers chose to regard the primary freedom of choosing Beliefs from the written word, and allowing faith to run the mill of ethical desire for happiness and just being SAD about this freedom of choice.

In Russia we are not allowed to read the bible. Interesting place to wonder about believing in what we read.

"Weaken your faith in the Bible..." I wish to question whether this was meant ambiguously? Could you mean weaken your faith with the bible? ... or if as an atheist you read the Bible, of course, you can lose the choice of believing for the choice of just having a happy experience? joyful (?):afro:

As long as there is some faith or belief, the quest for truth has failed. The myth of the bible should be completely demolished in every true atheists mind.

So are you yet another whack-job proclaiming that their opinion is the Truth?

Problem is you are stating that these ideas you want to pursue are personal opinion, and you want to get at the "truth", BUT you are obviously starting with the premise that the Bible is all myth.
Doesn't sound like you are interested in truth at all, whatever that may be, but rather bolstering your own opinion.

If you were REALLY interested in finding the "Truth" between differing ideas about ANY topic, you have to begin with the premise that EITHER proposition could be the truth. You have failed to do that in your opening statements.

If you are genuinely after "truth", you have to be willing to accept the possibility that your personal opinions or beliefs may be wrong. ;)

It's a shame that it is often very plain both on the discussion of this board as well as in the real world that atheists are often more Christian than 'christians'. Anyone look at the recent GOP debates? They call themselves chistians at the same time they are cheering executions.

I think the thread has an idea for Norman Mailer type writing.

Back in the seventies there was a clear problem of understanding the taming of the Metropolis economic growth. Is it that we have to depend on the cities for the culture of the Nation?

Anything to read for... the Truth?

Hardly an indirect jab. The hubris being parodied hardly needs it when it does such a good job by itself. Unfortunately I think this is inviting something that is better kept off the discussion boards and regrettably I'll be closing it.
