Right now my wi-fi router is sending out signals through my house, my cordless phone sends out signals. I can always feel the ambience of a telivision set even before i walk in the room, and even staring at this big fucking glaring screen is scorching my eyes right now, i have a slightly sore head and i get them frequently, i blame all this stuff, of course i am myself to blame and i will be turning my tv off as we speak but yet i need my internet fix so i will put up and shut up while im hooked up to this.

Yeah get rid of your TV. Well, maybe keep it to watch movies, but get rid of your cable. It's not worth it. There's nothing good on anyway, and for the stuff here and there that is, you can find it online.

Yes, I get sick of electronic shit. That's why I enjoy going to my parents' cottage during the summer, where there's no TV, no telephone, no nothing. Just a refrigerator and some lights.

Yeah, whenever I want to listen to an album I turn off my computer and everything, whip out my CD player, lay down on my bed and listen. I best enjoy music when I don't have computer noises whirring around and am away from technology. Just listening to albums start to finish.

I've used the computer so much and still do only because it's an easy time-waster. I'm not someone who grew up in a good family and neighbourhood always having something going on. And school sucked. Hopefully I move out of here and get to experience life. Good thing I have a few caring friends.

So yeah, I am seriously fucking fed up of electronic shit. But I love some electronic music. haha

Turning off IT is essential I feel.
I ensure I allow myself the regular embracement of the elements that nature provides.
I walk though wooded scenery to listen to the breeze, see the colour of shaded spectrum around me, smell the aroma of grass and leaf feel the touch of water's stream and taste the ambience of nature beauty - for the danger could well be that if IT had its way, it could be remembered on video pictures of memory as the 24/7 world speeds to it's fate
    - just me then?
    :)

I can't stand basically any modern tech man. I watch my wife on her cellphone texting all the time and her family with their TV's on all hours of the day and people who spend a shitload of time on the comp and I wonder what ever happened to people enjoying the outdoors and nature and what not? I go on nature walks almost everyday. Just last week I found a half eaten deer down by the ol' train trestle and I noticed the wolf tracks around it. Pretty cool that we have wolves living so near us I think, not counting the two my wife owns :D

    I get sick of electronics.

My family own a cottage that just has electricity neat the coast. Going there soothes my soul when the world and knowledge of how often everyone is taking a shit gets shoved into my brain.

LOL Yeah, I haven't heard much, but I've still yet to hear any good dubstep. If you want to hear good electronic music, though, Aphex Twin and Daft Punk are brilliant artists.

Dub techno is also an amazing genre to get into: it's like ambient with reverberating chords and slow beats. Not something you can dance to, though. More like closing your eyes, exploring.

And Radiohead: I know they're considered a rock band, but they have plenty of electronic-only tracks that I feel it's valid.

haha Sorry don't mean to turn this into an electronic music thread. Getting a bit carried away. I think it's an example, though, of electronics being put to good use to make music that expresses life. Unfortunately, most electronics these days are replacing life.

No, you said in this thread that you were thinking of getting rid of your cell phone because you have no friends. Or did someone else say that?

Anyway, I have found that MOST people who like good music and have no (or few) friends are smarter than most of the rest of the population and simply prefer not to deal with idiots.

Sorry if I offended, but if I intended to offend I would be offending myself as well. :p

Actually, I don't now why I bolded that. Anyway....
