i do avoid a majority of people as well. idiocy is annoying, but no more so than proclaiming "i am highly intelligent."

it's hard finding reasonably smart people who are capable of shutting up about it.

 

Getting back to the op - turns the fuckers off, pull out the plug! I cannot bear peeps who have the tv on, pc fired up etc and they're not even in the same fucking room! And leaving them on standby - what the fuck is that all about? You're either using, watching it or you're not!

 

You’re right but if I go from the den to the kitchen to the bedroom and the tv isn’t on in each room I might miss something

I get frustrated sometimes but not tired of it

 

What gets annoying sometimes is when I'm with a friend in the car, and they have the radio quietly turned down in the background while they're driving. They're not even paying attention to what's on, and it's usually some crap no one cares about. So why have it on?

I end up telling them to turn it off because it's distracting.
