hey guys, i decided to not sleep for three nights and three days (this is my first night) to see if i could experience something that resembles a psychedelic trip or see what i could get out of this and what i can learn about myself. i was just wondering if anyone has done this before and if so than what did you got out of it?
Yeah, basically, due to insomnia. You feel more like crap than anything else. It didn't resemble any psychedelic trip I've ever had.
Don't listen to them trippin! Sleep deprivation is great, after 6 nights it resembles DMT. Just hang in there, it will be worth it. And keep us updated
i've never made it 3 days, but i've been sleep deprived before. you tend to feel like shit, see meaningless hallucinations that you're too tired to attempt to interpret, and you usually end up with a cold.
Its 4.36pm here and i never went to sleep at all last night, i never slept the night before either and went to this motivational course thing i'm doing, came home and fell asleep in the afternoon, untill about 9.30pm. This time i'm defo staying awake to at least 9pm and hopefully im so tired i go out like a light bulb and my routine is back in order, this is all the remnants of a benzo relapse foh so its my own fault, shit happens eh
Sleep deprivation is more likely to cause delirium than psychedelia. If you want sleep deprivation-type hallucinations, it would be a lot quicker and easier to just eat a lot of diphenhydramine, but I wouldn't recommend that either. lol
I have never done this myself. But I had a friend who had serious insomnia, and used to have vivid hallucinations that were almost always negative and frightening. Granted, he wasn't staying awake on purpose, but I'd say that was a bad experience.
Yea I've gone a couple of days without sleep when the writing bug got to me, - there were some good creative thoughts and sustained with liquid refreshment the the keyboard smoked however, there is always a consequence to actions, and my body clock thereafter was such that did no good in the long run.
it is more like being insane than being on a psychedelic trip. I have done it before. you start to see things that do not exist. like in my peripheral vision I will see weird black things moving really fast then if I look to my right or left nothing is there. everything starts to look different and everything sounds different and the whole world even when the day light comes up everything starts to seem haunted like it is evil or dark or something. it is like starting a nightmare while you are awake. and you start to feel floaty and weird like you are not connected to the world. and you start to lose your thinking and thought process and you just have to meditate and flow with the weird feeling of being disconnected cus once you start thinking to much you get tired and wanna pass out. weird stuff happens when you look at the wall and stuff too. you will see colors or the wall will twist. and again stuff with always catch you attention. for example you will think the plant in your house just jumped and you or something and you fill react like you are going to block it but then after that you will look at it and it will be fine. and your head will constantly jerk real quick to look at different things. oh and you will start to feel like a blob and like the ground is sinking sand and you are melting into it. if you wanna really experience it then I recommend taking aderall or some other form of speed and staying up 3 nights straight. day 3 is where the weird stuff starts. it is for sure interesting but you feel like shit if you can't stay focused. you can't day dream or think about stuff or let your brain wander. you gotta make sure you keep yourself alert at all times. so yeah make sure you do lots of stuff to keep your attention. that is why I recommend aderall cus it forces you to stay alert and focused. and by day 3 you won't need aderall anymore cus you will have all the trippy effects to focus on.
10 year old once told me To know what ever it is you really want to know All you really need to learn is when to pay attention <3
