Well hmm. You probly won't have seizures off of placebo, is all I know (though I'm sure it's possible) I just mean, I don't think benzo's are a lifelong fiending kind of thing once you get off of them, like opiates or something. (or even amphetamines-many speed freaks always think about them, years after getting off) Probably because they're subtle and slow. There's no benzo "rush", you can wish you felt that way, but not in an intense way, in a blacking out falling down walking with your face going to jail kind of way.....
This.. Of course, everyone is different, and we all react differently to various substances. But they just make my body heavy, my mind fuzzy, screw with my memory, and don't make me feel good at all. Though they are useful for when I can't sleep.
I can say for a fact that I am physically addicted to them, but I am certainly not psychologically hooked on them. And believe me, I know what being hooked on a drug is like (I am thinking of amphetamines and opioids here). I detest having to take my small dose of Klonopin daily, but I have tried going lower on it and have gotten symptoms not unlike the flu. But there isn't any craving or liking of the drug involved.
I thought my new doctor would give me more benzos. One doctor would only give me 6 atavan's a month . This new one 15.. basically what they are saying is.. "i dont need a benzo every single day" ..
my doctor gives me 60 x 1mg ativan every month and renews it every time the pharmacy calls him to get a renewal.
Benzos dont make me feel high either, they DO make me feel relaxed though, and that feels good when you feel anxious. Apart from that... recreationally...meh, they really dont do anything special
I agree with you there, once people are off bars for a while I really doubt they will be fiending for them for the rest of their life, but bars are hard to quit once you get started because the physical withdrawls take a very long time to go away, especially since the withdrawls are often an increase in the things that gets someone benzos, like anxiety or insomnia. But the reason I say there is a very heavy psychological addiction for benzos(for people who actually like them) is because it actually takes a while to get addicted to benzos, but I have seen many a fiend for bars without that person actually having physical withdrawl.
My comment of being psychologically addicted was aimed more at people who either buy benzos off the street or get a script for them because they want the benzos.
Ah, I see. Yeah, I have only ever taken them from valid prescriptions. And even then, I never have the desire to take "extra" like i do with Vyvanse (an amphetamine).
4mg quite a small dose, depends on bodyweight and other variables too, of course i wouldnt recommend benzos recreationally anymore, this is just my own personnal stance though, each to there own. Be safe
whats a good dose to feel all messed up but still remember what happened? sounds like xanax is a pill form of alcohol haha. 2 or 3 beers take away my anxiety. also sounds like its best to take xanax early in the day for recreational use.
benzos only got me stoned when I drank or smoked weed with them I treid selling them one summer and everyone was like wtf is this, after I'd pull out a bag containing ativan, klonopin, valium, xanax. I used to have hundreds of all sorts I took them all over the course of a year like on average 4mg a day got half bad withdrawels one summer lol!!!
I don't know, having never taken a large amount of xanax, but I can tell you that the curve of effects relative to dose gets steep fast. First you don't feel it, and then you're blacked out. And the whole time you where blacked out, you probably didn't feel it.... even while you walked with your face, spent a night in a drunk tank, punched that cop, got tazed..... Especially with alcohol. Don't feel 4mg, drink a beer, black out....
It doesn't get me high either. It just makes me not give a fuck for a few hours, which feels nice. Plus, it completely rids me of social anxiety. I do get quite a bit of euphoria from it when I'm relaxing though, but I wouldn't call it a "high".
It mostry gives u high when its able to do its anti-anxyolitic effects. If u r not nxious, the most u can get from it is some clhill. Or u can use it as opiate potentiator, however, rewd a lots of info before trying combinating it with other CNS depressansts
