The truth is there is no such a thing as christianity today at least not the christianity that jesus taught, how can this be? well you see the romans exterminated the real christians 2000 years ago more or less and inserted their values into it, the early christians were considered dirty and their long hair was looked upon by much distain by the romans not to mention their pacifism their refusal to serve in the roman military (sounds familiar?)they lived communally and shared everything they were killed for refusing to kill for the empire and also for refusing their babylonian religion and all we have today is a roman religion not christianity they met in the forests to worship the lord and they were rounded up and put to death in the arenas of rome after they were exterminated by the romans the romans took the religion and inserted their conservative values into it and that my friends is what we have today, babylonian bullshit,those beautiful kids of the haight in 67 with dirty clothes and dirty faces but with alot of love in their hearts are a mirror image of those early christians long ago, jesus was a liberal, socialist, hippie preacher who was very concerned about social injustice in short he is on our side and that my friends is something to be very happy about, so if you are a real hippie be glad because you are like jesus something the bible sez to be........PEACE
If we just say that God is in Man's image which is the humanist ideal of religious conception, then Christianity is the idea of the passion of Man to become as God. Surely in anyone's life He won't be realizing the powers of all knowing, all loving, all powerful, etc.; if something is at Becoming the bible really has it the true non-contradictory way: we become as children, and still growing up to be Christians in the End. Then Man is in God's image; maybe we've always been fooling ourselves. I dig.
I agree with almost everything you say except for for the part about no Christians today, if you believe that the God of the Christians is the true God, then I doubt that God would allow them to ever be exterminated, so although you may not have heard about them during certain time periods, they were there and still are. E‧lijah thought he was the only worshiper of the true God left but God said to him "I have let seven thousand remain in Israel". (1 Kings 19:13-18) So even when we think there are no other true worshipers remember God will always see that some remain even if we don't know about them.
god bless you brother,i agree with you, jesus will return for a remnant of his church, but what we have in the churches today is pauline christianity, paul was a roman jew who was raised with roman/conservative values he never knew jesus,and was the most responsible for changing the religion making it into a religion the romans would accept this was his lifes misson,he even knocks long hair in the bible which proves my point,yet long hair is a symbol of loyalty to god, all of the prophets, the angels of heaven and jesus and the early christians all had long hair..........a child reflecting his father= a hippie, i was once told by a young child you look like god i smiled and said yes.
If these people did all of these Christ-like, loving things, then why does the fact that they might have taken LSD a few times or maybe fornicated or are gay or agnostic/atheist deny them the right to eternal life? I just disagree with that, I don't believe a person that lives his life with love and for others is damned just for taking part in sinful (or rather what many Christians consider to be sinful) activities.
god is for peace,god is for us taking care of one another, god is for keeping the earth free from pollution, god want us to take care of the animals on planet earth,god is not for greed, that covers wall st. and the repubs and the teabagers,this country was not founded on christian principles unless stealing is ok with god which it isnt, the founding fathers were not christians they were deists nor would jesus have ever endorsed the american revolution he told his fellow jews if you overthrow the romans eventually you will be the tyrants, he was against all forms of violence, no one can out freak god, he is way cooler than we can ever imagine...........PEACE

christianity ceased to be christianity when the romans got ahold of it, all of a sudden the empire came before god,love is the key to heaven,this is what jesus taught,john grasped this teaching the most and was the most childlike of his followers which is why jesus doted on him the most, jesus said you must change and be like a child to enter heaven and also to love god and your neighbor as yourself..........if you stand in the light of love there is no wrong in you...........
