well there's an easy fix for that, pocket a pair of flipflops for those surfaces your feet still can't... handle .
I was escorted out and told not to return to one of our larger hospitals for fighting. I swear I'm not a fighter. I'm a lover.
i don't own any of 'those' flip flops. it was just an idea. however the deal is using them as little as possible oh, just for the hell of it i googled aroud and there are effectively folding flops coming with their own mini pocket.
I'm really not sure about this. I can see an argument for having a pair of "emergency" flops about one's person (and if they screw up small, then great) but I find then the temptation is to put them on "just in case", then they start to irritate and I'm dying to take them off but somehow I bottle out. I much prefer to leave all footwear at home then I am forced to go for it in any situation and haven't got all the angst of thinking "is it appropriate to take them off now?". Perhaps I'm a bit paranoid
Just got kicked out of a Wendy's for having no shoes. First time getting kicked out of anywhere, ever. Manager (I assume) was like "it's a health department violation", to which I kindly replied that the state health department has no such regulations. She wouldn't relent, so I walked out and said I'd never be back. Although I may go back up there in a bit with a copy of the letter from our state health department stating that no such regulation exists.
I've been told this by many, including non barefoot people, because I've bitched about ending up wearing shoes most of the day because I've been kept out of a few places on campus I HAVE to go (like to eat) when barefoot ("health code, not my fault".........yeah, course its not your fault if you end up lying about the health code) But I think it's a poor idea. If I'm going to go to the trouble to carry around shoes, why would I want to touch them, and go to all the trouble of putting them on and off, not to mention compromising comfort (If I've got shoes, I'd rather they're at least good shoes). The whole point of going barefoot is NOT having shoes, I think carrying them is a step below just wearing them the whole time. On this note, probly going to die of tetanus now. Stepped on a large sliver of glass the other night. I knew there was glass, but couldn't see it in the dark and just hoped it would be more square, less damaging chunks. No such luck. I think I got it all out but it's still hurting to walk on.
well it seems I'm out of printer paper and can't print off that health department letter. Oh well, I left some negative feedback for that store on the Wendy's website.
I got kicked out of a movie theater once because some people were throwing crap at my group of friends and it ended up turning into a fullout food fight. I was just 14-15...it was fun. I would never do something like that now though. Kids.
i find your remark completely out of context, R00r. Im a barefooter, I don't wear shoes in streaks of several months, I love travelling barefoot with sleeping bag and backpack, i love hiking barefoot and agree that carrying shoes is close to wearing them. Mine was just a suggestion to a non barefooter scared of aggressive surfaces: Skip. Over time, hopefully, he will be able to do it more and more but i can't honestly recommend my early way to barefooting which was: 'walk barefoot over country mixed terrain and take stones and thorns until your feet hurt and swell so much that you start thinking about going home walking on all fours; repeat over and over' . Unless one is a stubborn follower of Diogenes...
I was asked to leave Best Buy for not wearing shoes the other day. I have been there many times before and it was never a problem. The good news is Sears had the same TV at a lower price and did not mind that I was barefoot.
I would write a letter to the Best Buy corporate office relating your experience. I would also mention that you had no reason to look elsewhere for that TV until this incident happened:bigcry:. Furthermore, now many other potential Best Buy customers are likewise so informed.
Because when my foot is bare I am also on crutches which is probably why I have not been asked to leave anyplace so far.
It's because sears is pretty much going out of business and well do anything to make money lol. People always bring there pets in with them to lol. I would never ask someone to leave if they didn't have shoes on.
