Anywhere in the northern hemisphere in the late cretaceous period would have been cool :)

London around '69 would have been good to see The Who, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple etc
in their heyday and to experience the hippie movement in full swing

and ancient Greece for the philosophy and :sunny:

In my opinion, this is the coolest time ever to be living. When I went to high school, computers were so slow I would sometimes wait between 5 and 10 minutes for the computer to move during a chess game. Today, about 25 years later, the computer plays an entire game in about 2 seconds if I limit it to planning 3 moves ahead. We have telephones with internet access that we can carry around in our pockets, cars that get 35-50 miles per gallon of gas, the internet. I mean the list is endless. Yea, living in the wild west sounds romantic, but I bet the reality would suck.

MeThinks 10 years earlier than I was born to fully embace the Sixties from 10-20 yrs.
Although as a child I was fortunate to indulge in a degree of aromatic psycedellia in the company of cosmopolitan characters of spectrum imagination, slightly older would have seen a more active participation in the ambience of euphoria.
Though I attended, saw and was party to the conviction of protest (and the darker side of reaction) I would have been in a better position to defend the right - being arrested is a drag but receiving the punishment of physicality as a kid was not pleasant!
Ah well, Good memories outweigh the bad :)

always fancied being a mod in london, around 1963-8 woulda been awesome. but since moving up to manchester, i'd love to have been able to check out the madchester scene of the late 80's/early 90's. happy mondays, stone roses, joy division. chewing the wallpaper in the hacienda etc. lord knows it musta been good, plenty of people around up here who show no signs of even starting to get over it...
