Every night, I sleep from 2:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

    How do I fix this? I sleep for ten to twelve hours every day, and I'm sick of it. Every time I set my alarm clock for 10:00, or 11:00, or even 12:00, I just think "Maybe I'll be tired if I don't get more sleep? Don't wanna risk it..." and then I just turn it off and go back to sleep.



    What should I do?

    I hate coffee with a fiery passion. I guess I could drink some green tea when I first wake up in the morning, then have a beer or glass of wine or something around 12:00 to get me into bed (I'm a lightweight, and a glass of anything even mildly alcoholic will get me to sleep within half an hour).

    I used to have the same problem. For me, it was really because I didn't have a reason to get up in the morning. Once I changed my shift at work I started waking up early and going to bed at normal hours.

    If you don't have a job to motivate you to get up in the morning, maybe some kind of hobby or volunteer work would give you a reason to get up before 2 every day.

    I force myself each night to sleep 6 hours because I’d rather be doing anything else other than sleeping.

    i wonder at what point it officially becomes a coma...


    i need 10 hours a night or i feel like shit no matter what. for the last month or so i've been lucky to get 6 a night, and i've felt like shit for about the last month or so.

    Have a kid. A newborn will ruin any chance you had of sleep for at least a couple years.

    Get a job. If you have one, get another.

    I used to sleep 12 hours a day...when I had fuck all to do.

    Put your alarm across the room so that you have to get out of bed to turn it off.

    Also splash your face with cold water once you're up. I do it every morning, only feel ready to get on with the day after that.

    Guys, I fixed it! Last night, I only slept for seven hours. All I had to do was put my phone on the other side of the room, and then when it woke me up in the morning, I got up to get it and didn't go back to bed.

    i normally sleep from 6 to 7 hours or less and im not tired, myby u should try to go to sleep earlier, most importatn hours for sleep are from 8.00 to 00.000 (:)

    I don't think there's any medical basis to that, but specifically, you should get to sleep when the sun is down for peak melatonin metabolism, and wake up when the sun is rising or up for peak serotonin and dopamine synthesis.
